The second semi-final second leg will take place at Craven Cottage as Fulham look to do the unthinkable and knock Premier League leaders Liverpool out.
The visitors lead the tie 2-1 thanks to Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo’s goals in quick succession, after Willian’s first half opener elevated the tie as a spectacle. Both sides played full-strength teams during the game and should do so again with a Wembley final on offer.
Liverpool have lost only once in domestic football this season, that came against Tottenham Hotspur when they controversially finished with nine men and had a perfectly good goal ruled out, but Fulham have won eight of their last 11 at home.

Fulham vs Liverpool Predicted Lineups
Fulham well rested
Fulham come into this tie having not played for a week and a half, potentially giving them an advantage. It remains to be seen exactly who plays but Timothy Castagne and Bobby Decordova-Reid are in line for starts, the latter forming an attacking midfield trio with Andreas Pereira and Willian, who were involved in the opener. Harrison Reed could replace Tom Cairney in the XI.
Gakpo expected to return
Liverpool don’t have many options at the moment with Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch the only senior players on the bench at Bournemouth on Sunday. Both could return to the XI with Luis Diaz likely to step out and either Harvey Elliott, against his former employers, or Curtis Jones doing so in midfield. Conor Bradley could make another start, though Klopp could also opt for Owen Beck.
Fulham vs Liverpool Team Stats
Fulham doing just fine
Fulham have every reason to be confident here. Not only did they give Liverpool a good game a couple of weeks ago, they also lost 4-3 at Anfield earlier in the season. They have won 8 of their last 11 at Craven Cottage and could make use of set-pieces – they have won five or more in 9 of their 10 Premier League games. They are also regularly finding the target, having 3 or more shots on target in 12 of their 13 matches, including in both games away to Liverpool.
Liverpool may give the Whites a chance
Liverpool are fantastic. They have won their last five matches, are scoring for fun and creating chances at will – they have had 12 or more shots in all but three matches this season and 7 or more shots on target in six of their last eight. However, they have committed 10 or more fouls in their last six, conceded 3 or more shots on target in 11 of 15 away matches and 4 or more corner kicks in all but one away from home.
Fulham vs Liverpool Shots and Shots on Target Stats
Fulham’s attack finding their feet
It’s taken a while for many of Fulham’s attackers to find form but they are becoming a more consistent threat as the season goes on. Raul Jimenez has had 11 shots in his last three matches and a shot on target in 5 of his last 6. Willian has had 2 or more shots in six of his nine starts at home (1.67) and Bobby Decordova-Reid has tested the keeper in three of his last four outings.
Nunez in great form
Liverpool are having a high number of shots, making it all the more surprising that Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott are such good prices to have 2 or more shots. Darwin Nunez is a one-man wrecking ball, however, he impressively averages over four and a half shots per 90 minutes and having three or more shots on target in three of his last four matches, while having four shots in the other game.
Fulham vs Liverpool Goals and Assists Stats
Who may step up for Fulham?
Fulham have a collection of attackers that have shown some promise in the final third but have been inconsistent. Raul Jimenez has been more consistent of late, Decordova-Reid tops their goal contributions list with seven while Andreas Pereira and Willian are on six apiece, thanks to their contribution against Liverpool. Pereira is on most set-pieces and at 3.4, he could be your man.
Liverpool’s front three on fire
Darwin Nunez’s brace at the weekend took him to 20 goal contributions for the season, and an even ten goals and assists for the campaign. He has contributed in five of his last seven, just like Cody Gakpo, who scored in the previous leg. Diogo Jota scored on Sunday, taking him to a goal contribution in six of his last eight. They are all available between 1.91 and 2.4 to score or assist anytime.
Fulham Cards and Fouls Stats
Palhinha enjoying tussles with Liverpool
Joao Palhinha has picked up eight yellow cards this season. He has committed a foul in his last 22 starts for club and country. He has committed just shy of 2 fouls per 90 minutes across all competitions. He has committed six fouls in two outings against Liverpool this season. He’s your man for fouls. If you want to look elsewhere, see Raul Jimenez (foul in 7 of his last 9) and Issa Diop (foul in 9 of his last 11 starts, including 2 in 4 of his last 5).
The Fulham spine have plenty of targets. Alexis Mac Allister was welcomed back to league action by taking three hits at Bournemouth. Diogo Jota has been fouled two or more times in his last seven appearances, and bear in mind one of those was a 7-minute cameo vs Burnley. And Ibrahima Konate has been fouled in 5 of his last 7 appearances.
Liverpool Cards and Fouls Stats
Nunez getting feisty
Darwin Nunez’s improved form has come with an increased aggression to his game, the Uruguayan has committed two or more fouls in his last five starts – he’s 1.4 to commit one here. Alexis Mac Allister has returned to commit two fouls in his last two matches (you can back that at 2.1) while Joe Gomez has had difficulties at left back, committing a foul in six of his eight starts and two or more in three of his last five.
That could be troublesome with Willian and Bobby Decordova-Reid both being fouled more than once per 90 this season. Fellow forwards Raul Jimenez, who fouled in six of his last seven, and Andreas Pereira, who fouled in six of his last eight, are problematic too. However, it’s that man Palhinha who is the biggest issue for Fulham’s opposition, being fouled in 20 of 24 matches in all competitions and twice in eight of his last 13.
