Football icon Salah to assist 1+ goals

Mo Salah has become one of the best footballers in the world since playing for Liverpool. A firm fans favourite and now considered one of the club’s all time greats.

His goals, assists and overall game has made him one of the most feared attackers in world football.

Salah has scored a lot of goals yes (190 in 314 games for Liverpool) but we’ve seen a different side to him so far this year, which is assists. He’s assisted 4 goals for his team (the most for any Liverpool player) which is more than he has scored (3).

In fact, Salah is playing at an exceptionally high level when it comes to assists. He has an xAG (expected assists) of 0.64 p/90 which is more than triple the nearest player to him.

His actual assists are 0.61 P/90 which means when his assist are pretty much matching up the attempts. Very impressive.

He’ll be coming up against a Brighton team who are leaking goals recently (13 in 7 and 4th highest in PL) so there is as good a chance for a Salah assist as Liverpool player scoring as any game.

Football icon Mac Allister to Commit 2+ fouls
Arrow down

Mac Allister is part of a completely new Liverpool midfield who are still trying to fins their best form.

With the introduction of Endo, it has allowed Mac Allister to have a little more freedom in the middle of the park, pushing further forward and be a little involved in the play.

Up until this season, Mac Allister had never averaged more than 2 fouls P/90, whereas now he is at an astonishing 2.24 fouls P/90 (4th highest at the club but he has played far more football than those above him).

Coming up against his former club, there will be an added element of emotion on his return to Amex stadium. Players who play with added emotion tend to do one of a few things, which is score or commit fouls.

Mac Allister isn’t know too widely for his goals, but his ability to commit fouls remains prominent.

Arsenal v Man City

Football icon Haaland to score 1+ goals
Arrow down

He really doesn’t need much of an introduction. Every one knows exactly what Erling Haaland is capable of.

Since he’ joined City, he’s gone on to be a record breaker and has taken the PL by storm. In his first season, he finished on an unbelievable 36 goals in 35 games played. That’s a rate of 1.17 goals P/90.

He’s currently on a 2 game ‘goal drought’ but is still leading the PL goal scoring charts by 2.

Despite the drought, he is still getting chances. In his last 2 matches since he last scored, he has had 7 shots with 3 SOT.

It’s only a matter of time when we see his name on the scoresheet again, and I think this will be the game where we see his name on the score sheet again. He loves playing Arsenal.

In his last 4 games against the Gunners, he’s had 4 G/A. A run which looks like to continue against one of City’s closest rivals.

Football icon Ben White to commit 2+ fouls
Arrow down

Ben White has converted from his usual CB to a fully functional and higly effective RB seamlessly since he stepped in to fill in a gap when Arsenal were having injury problems in that position.

He will need to be on his very best form when Arsenal welcome Man City to the Emirates stadium.

You’d have thought it was bad enough matching up against Grealish let alone a new player who is causing some serious headaches to defenders in the league, Jeremy Doku.

Although White is averaging less than 1 foul P/90, he’ll be tasked with keeping a player who is drawing a massive 2.94 fouls p/90 quiet for a whole game. I don’t fancy his chances.

Doku is a man on a mission. He is incredibly direct, he’s powerful, he’s fast and he’s skillful. All things defenders hate. White especially struggles against these exact types of wingers.
