Saturday 2nd July, Euro 2020: 30/1 Ukraine vs England Bet Builder
Raheem Sterling – Anytime scorer
Raheem is England’s scapegoat unfortunately and it’s about time a lot of our fans put some respect on his name. He’s scored in 3 of our 4 matches so far and we wouldn’t be in the position we’re in now without his contribution. That’s a fact!
He’s justifying his selection and no one can complain, I’m backing him to score again which will start some Golden Boot discussion! Raheem is averaging 1.34 shots on goal at the Euros so expect that ratio to continue with him having a clear cut chance or two in Rome.
Harry Kane – 2+ on target
It’s fair to say Harry Kane had a rough start to the tournament but as a country we shouldn’t get on his back. We’ve got plenty of talent around him so there’s no reason why we should rely solely on him to win games. Sterling is the perfect example and he stepped up when we needed a match winner.
Kane opened his tournament tally against Germany and I think that’s the start of the Euros for him. I think his tail will be up and he’ll play with confidence vs Ukraine. I’ve backed him for a couple of shots on target… for England he averages 3.33 shots per 90 with 1.98 on goal.
Oleksandr Zinchenko – To be carded
Man City’s Zinchenko might be one of the only Ukrainians that many of you recognise, I’m backing him to pick up his first card of the tournament against England.
There’s a few interesting things I found whilst digging out this selection. Zinchenko has put in more tackles than any other Ukraine player at the Euros, a total of 11. And he could be up against Saka who draws more fouls than any other Arsenal player or Foden who’s the second-most fouled player in the Man City squad. England should dominate proceedings, especially in wide areas, and Zinchenko has got a big job on his hands all night.
England – Corner match bet
This is a good addition to a bet builder in my opinion. I fancy England to dominate in wide areas as I said before and that obviously works in our favour.
I genuinely thought Ukraine would be a side to rack up corners and threaten from set pieces but that’s not the case at all. You’d have expected them to get a handful in evenly matched games against Sweden and Austria but they got a total of 4 corners across both. They had 4 against the Austrians and ZERO (?!) in the last round against Sweden – inside the original 90 mins FYI.
