6th February, £10-£250 Builder Challenge Bet 1
I’m starting a brand new £10-£250 Builder Challenge today!
You can load Bet 1 straight into your slip and place > HERE <
Obviously, there are no guarantees that we’ll go all the way. Completing it would be the equivalent of winning a 24/1 acca so if you’re getting involved then please keep your starting stake sensible and enjoy this challenge being a bit of FUN, not the opposite.
Betfair have the best odds on Bet 1 so I recommend you back it with them to get the best returns. Don’t have an account? Sign up > HERE < and you’ll get your first bet up to £20 completely risk free!
Means once you’ve registered using that link above you can place up to £20 on your first bet and if it loses you’ll get your stake refunded back in cash. The offer is valid to use on bet 1 of the challenge or you can use it on one of my accas that I’ve already posted on my website.
As always I’ve attached my research for the bet, please read before deciding for yourself if you want to place it or not:
Freiburg v Dortmund
Should be a cracker this one with both teams encouraged to play attacking and courageous football by their respective coaches. Freiburg are having a fine campaign, being particularly strong at home and will fancy their chances of taking another giant scalp this afternoon in the form of Borussia Dortmund. The visitors come in to today in better form having registered two victories over the past week but still are not convincing to the level a squad of their quality should be.
Defensively is where the main vulnerability lies for Dortmund and their deficiencies remained clear in sight in the 3-2 win over Paderborn in the DFB-Pokal in midweek, meanwhile, with the second-tier outfit coming from 2-0 down to force the game into extra time. To make matters worse they make the trip to Freiburg with several key defensive absentees. Number 1 Roman Burki is injured and his loss is a huge blow, he will be replaced by Marwin Hitz who is known for being something of an unreliable deputy. They will also likely be without Marcel Schmelzer, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Thomas Meunier leaving them a little short at the back.
Freiburg will certainly look to exploit this and they are extremely reliable at scoring goals, particularly at home. Only league leaders Bayern have scored more home goals than Freiburg this season who have managed to notch in 100% of their home league fixtures this campaign. Their home games also average the 2nd most goals per game in the Bundesliga with 3.70, again only Bayern home games average more.
Despite their defensive deficiencies Dortmund are expected to be at full strength offensively with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus, Erling Haaland and Giovani Reyna tipped to start by German sources. Sancho was clearly distracted by the links with Manchester United this summer which could explain his below-par start to the season. He has looked back to his best in recent weeks and has been directly involved in seven league goals in 2021, only Robert Lewandowski can boast more. Difficult not to also mention the young superstar Haaland has 14 goals in 14 Bundesliga games this season despite his team’s struggles, and he boasts an overall total of 38 goals in 39 Dortmund appearances since joining, a truly remarkable record.
I envisage an open and thoroughly entertaining affair this afternoon between two sides who are in excellent offensive form but can prove leaky in defence. Hopefully, this fixture can deliver the goods and see us through to bet 2 of the challenge this afternoon.
