Want to know why I picked each selection in this accumulator? Read my reasons below:
Trinec vs Dukla Prague
The Czech 2nd division is one we’ve been quite active on recently with plenty of in-play action there, it’s a cracking league for goals.
During our bets there I’ve been watching the games and a couple of sides caught my eye, especially at the weekend when a first half goal from Dukla Prague landed us a winner. They went on to win 2-1 which was their 6th straight league victory. They’ve scored 60 goals this season which is the second highest in the division and have secured promotion back to the top flight.
They’ll want to finish the season on a high here against a poor Trinec side who’s season has come to a chaotic end. They were thumped 6-2 at the weekend by a side who’ve won just 8/29. Since the coronavirus break ended, the hosts have won just twice which was against 11th places Chrudim and 14th placed Sokolov.
I can see Dukla putting on a strong performance here to round off a positive season.
Kriens vs Lausanne
Another Swiss Challenge league selection here. This league has been incredible for us recently with goals galore in almost every fixture.
Lausanne are sitting pretty at the top of the table and they’ve shown some serious firepower. They’ve netted 69 goals in 30 matches, including 7 in their last 3 games. Their games this season see an average of 3.3 goals and they’ve had at least 3 match goals in 20 of their 30 games. If you look specifically at their away games they have the highest goal average in the league at 3.7, with 12 of their 15 trips seeing over 2.5 which is higher than any other side in the league.
As for Kriens, they’re somehow getting by with the barebones of a squad. Many of their first team contracts expired which lead them to seeking help from the Swiss FA by asking them to allow Lucerne to loan them their youth players. Somehow with this tiny squad, Kriens have still managed back to back wins. They smashed Aarau 4-1 which caused their manager to be sacked, before a 4-2 win over Chiasso at the weekend.
Kriens see an average of 3.2 goals per game and their last 4 straight home games have seen over 2.5 goals land with scorelines of 4-1, 4-1, 2-2 and 3-0.
Viborg vs Vendyssel
Off to Denmark next as 2nd placed Viborg take on a Vendyssel side who look to be tailing off.
It’s not mathematically impossible for Viborg to gain promotion however it is highly unlikely. They need to win their remaining 3 games and swing some serious goal difference. They face league leaders Vejle next, if the leaders lose their following game then Viborg may just dream that the impossible could happen. Either way a win here is imperative.
They’re on a good run anyway, losing just once in 8 matches. Their games are full of goals too with an average of 3.4 per game. They’ve netted a league high 61 goals. With the chaos of goals I’ve gone for win either half for some safety.
Vendyssel are done in their season, meandering towards the end with back to back defeats without scoring. They can’t go down and they and they can’t go up. An early goal for Viborg (a regularity in their games) could be enough to have them down tools.
Horn vs Klagenfurt
Another happy hunting ground for goals this one – the Austrian Erste Liga.
This game looks an absolute peach for goals, hence the relatively short odds for 3 match goals at 1.29. A little look in to the stats on this one shows why.
Horn see an average of 4 goals per game, higher than any other side in the league. They’ve scored 52 times in 26 matches but still find themselves with a -1 goal difference! In their last 10 matches they’ve had just one where there was under 2.5 goals. They’re actually the 4th highest scorers in the league despite being just 3 points above the relegation zone.
Klagenfurt sit 2nd in the league on goal difference. Their games average 3.2 goals and they’ve scored a lofty 53 times this campaign. 4 of their last 5 games have seen over 2.5 goals.
The beauty of this game is that both have a lot to play for. Horn are far from safe and Klagenfurt have a title to chase. At any stage of the game one side at least will be chasing a goal, I expect to see a wide-open contest.
Atalanta vs Brescia
I feel like I can tell you just about everything related to the Bergamo side as a result of how often they’re included in these write ups.
A late Ronaldo penalty halted an 11 match winning run for the side who find themselves 3rd in Serie A. They were unlucky not to leave Turin with all 3 points after leading twice. Nonetheless a second placed finish is well in sight and what an achievement that would be for this wonderful side. They’re just one point behind a Lazio side who have completely collapsed, finishing as best of the rest to Juventus would be a great success for Atalanta so the motivation is there to keep winning.
They play exceptional football, scoring 87 times in 32 games this season. That level of firepower has seen them blitz several sides this season. In the return leg they beat Brescia 3-0 and also were leading at half time.
Brescia have had a horrible season, they’ve scored just 28 in 32. They’ve conceded 64 which is more than any other side bar Lecce.
Brescia are on an extraordinarily bad run. They’ve won 1 in 17! They’re off the back off a 3-0 defeat to Roma who played them off the park.
They’re not helping themselves either, the mood in the team seems to be one of discontent. The side has recently appeared to be using Mario Balotelli as somewhat of a scapegoat or maybe a distraction from their on-field antics. The club recently published Balotelli’s weight online to show he was 9KG overweight, what a bizarre way to treat your talisman who returned to his home club for this top-flight campaign.
