🧰 I’ll attach my toolkit for the game below which I’ve used as a guide when picking the selections. Feel free to check it out to make sure you’re happy with my bet or use it to build your own bet builder/shots bet if you like. I’ll also attach a short write up for each player:
Kevin de Bruyne has been ruled out of City’s trip to Villa so I expect Mahrez to step up and be the main man tonight. During my research for this I found a cool stat… Mahrez has had a shot on target in EIGHT (8) matches on the spin when starting.
My toolkit also makes good reading for Mahrez. He has the highest shots average for City and he averages 1.06 shots on target per 90 minutes. Also with KDB ruled out, Mahrez should be the man for spot kick duties.
We all know how Mahrez likes to play, he loves to make use of that left foot by cutting in from the right. City need to bounce back from the weekend’s semi-final defeat against Chelsea so I expect them to bounce back tonight.
I’ve gone for a couple of Villa players tonight and I’ve backed Bertrand Traore to have just one shot. It makes sense from looking at the toolkit, he averages 2.19 shots per 90 minutes and we only need him to try his luck once here.
During the last meeting, City were 2-0 winners but Villa had plenty of chances. In fact they had 14 shots in total with 5 of them being on target.
City should dominate the ball as we all expect but I think there’s plenty of opportunity for Villa’s front 3. You can envision several counter attacks where Traore and El Ghazi get shots away.
