🏆 Another night of Champions League action, come on!
The City and Liverpool games will definitely be interesting, but tonight is also the first time that we’ll see Messi, Neymar and Mbappe all in action together. That might be the game that gets my attention if I’m honest!

Man City vs RB Leipzig
Man City to win, Man City 5+ corners & Leipzig 2+ cards
First up we’ve got Man City and I think they’ll win fairly comfortably at the Etihad later tonight. Since their opening weekend defeat at Tottenham, they’ve gone on to win their last 3 matches on the spin without conceding a goal.
I’ve predicted City to take at least 5 corners tonight and it’s something that the stats back up. They’ve taken 5+ corners in every Premier League match so far and it’s 5/5 if you include the Community Shield match against Leicester at Wembley.
vs Leicester (Community Shield) – 7 corners taken
vs Tottenham – 11 corners taken
vs Norwich – 6 corners taken
vs Arsenal – 14 corners taken
vs Leicester – 8 corners taken
As for the yellow cards, RB Leipzig have played two Bundesliga away matches so far and they picked up a couple of bookings in each.
Liverpool vs AC Milan
Liverpool 5+ shots on target, Liverpool 5+ corners & 3+ match cards
I think Liverpool will win this one but I decided to opt out of picking a result because AC Milan are very capable side, even with Zlatan Ibrahimovic missing. Instead I’ve focused on Liverpool domination by getting at least 5 shots on target and 5 corners by the time the full time whistle comes.
Ready for some stats that makes this selection look sexy? Liverpool have played 4 Premier League games so far and they had at least 5 shots on target whilst taking 5 or more corners in every single one of them. I’ll put the actual statistics below for you…
vs Norwich – Had 8 shots on target and took 11 corners
vs Burnley – Had 9 shots on target and took 8 corners
vs Chelsea – Had 7 shots on target and took 12 corners
vs Leeds – Had 9 shots on target and took 11 corners
Club Brugge vs PSG
PSG to win, Messi 2+ shots on target & Brugge 2+ cards
Tonight is the night… Tonight is the first time that we’ll see Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe line up as a formidable trio. I can’t wait to witness it and I’m expecting fireworks during their trip to Belgium.
I’m backing PSG to get the win and it looks likely with them being heavy odds-on favourites. There’s a huge difference in quality with all due respect to Club Brugge and I think they’ll simply be out of their depth. The Champions League trophy is the one that PSG crave and they won’t be messing around tonight, Messi has all the experience and world class ability which could be the final piece of their European jigsaw.
I’ve backed Messi to have 2+ shots on target as part of this selection and it looks great having looked through his stats at Barcelona last season. He averaged a massive 5.66 shots per 90 minutes with 2.53 going on target which is exactly what we want to see.
As for the cards, I think a couple for Club Brugge is going to be inevitable. Having Messi, Neymar and Mbappe running at you all night just screams trouble. You can just picture the bookings with Messi’s dribbling ability and Mbappe’s lightening pace.
