Real Betis vs Celtic Shots on Target Betting
There could be a number of changes for Celtic in this one, with Kyogo Furuhashi unavailable along with Liel Abada and Callum McGregor. Expect to see Albian Ajeti start, he bagged twice at the weekend and should keep his place here, with summer signing Georgios Giakoumakis lacking match fitness according to boss Ange Postecoglou. Ajeti might be a decent option for a shot on target.
I always like David Turnbull as an option when backing shots in Celtic games, he’s a phenomenal long range shooter and will take free kicks. Postecoglou has encouraged him to make more runs in to the box too, which has seen him net a hat trick already this campaign as well as 2 against Jablonec. He’s been averaging over 4 shots per 90 this season with 1.52 on target.
For Betis, I’m a big fan of Nabil Fekir. He’s a wonderfully gifted player with an exceptional left foot, again he’s also a set piece taker and loves a pop from range. He’ll play off the main striker for this one and should get chances given Celtic’s questionable defence.
Real Betis vs Celtic Bookings Betting
He may be brilliant going forward, but Fekir is also a bit of a hot head. He’s already been carded twice this season for Real Betis and tops the charts for fouls at the club as well, he averages more than 3 per 90, so a booking at a price of 4.5 looks pretty high to me.
On the Celtic side of things, there’s a number of options. I expect them to be under significant pressure here, so a booking from their side does carry a good chance. With Callum McGregor need and the need for some experience in the middle of the park, I’d expect James McCarthy to start. He’s the shortest odds for a booking at 2.1. He managed to be booked against Alkmaar despite playing just 16 minutes.
Real Betis vs Celtic corners betting
It’s a tricky one this, as Celtic average almost double the amount of corners taken as Betis. However you’ve got to consider the contrast in their standings domestically, Betis play in a stronger league, they’re above average in La Liga but there’ll be plenty of games they struggle in.
That’s not really the case for Celtic, who dominate their league (except Rangers) and can rack up 7/8/9 corners easily against some of the weaker teams, especially at home. With no Furuhashi, Abada or Forrest they do lack some width as well. Greg Taylor’s absence also means they’ll have a right footer playing left back.
I’m not sold on corners here, if you were wanting an addition in this market I’d got for 4 or 5 home corners at 1.25/1.57 respectively.
