📚 Research – Foden and Mount both expected to start for England and if we should be playing at least four matches at the tournament, that just works out to be 1 shot on target each for those two.
Foden averaged 1.11 shots on target per match for City last season, Mount averaged 0.81 but averaged 1.29 per game for England in the EURO qualifiers.
Bale and James also both expected to start for Wales and will be their main men in an attempt to qualify from the group. I’m not the most confident they’ll get out the group but I am confident Bale will manage to average at least 1.4 shots on target per game over the three group matches.
We know how big a player Bale is for club and country, he’s had at least one shot on target in 5 of his last 6 Wales matches in which he played 60 minutes or more. One of those matches was against Finland where he got 5 shots on target!
Dan James averaged 0.50 shots on target per game for Man Utd but for Wales in the most recent qualifiers he averaged 1 shot on target per game.
John McGinn’s shooting stats are incredible for Scotland, he averaged 1.32 shots on target per game in the EURO qualifiers and 1.07 in the World Cup Qualifiers. He plays further forward for Scotland and should start every match. Three shots on target should be easy enough.
I really rate Che Adams for Southampton and with him being Scotland’s best striker, he’ll play every match. He should be capable of notching at least three shots on target in at least three matches at EURO 2020.
