Brazil vs Switzerland

Brazil started off the climb when they dispatched of Serbia in their opening game thanks to a double from Richarlison.
Let’s address the issue first – yes, they’ll be without Neymar. Which would be a loss for any side, however I still can’t see anything other than a comfortable win for the tournament favourites here.
Neymar wasn’t amazing in the opener anyway to be honest. Vinicius was far more prominent and with Richarlison flying, Brazil are a seriously dangerous prospect.
I’d expect Fred to come in and Paqueta to be pushed in to that number 10 position.
Brazil produced a 2.65 xG in that opening match but perhaps mroe impressively, they restricted Serbia to just 0.22 xG. That’s no mean feat against a very decent side, one that are definitely stronger than the Swiss.
I was very disappointed by what I saw from Switzerland in their opener against Cameroon.
Breel Embolo netted the only goal, against the country of his birth, but I’d say the Swiss were lucky to escape with a victory.
Cameroon made most of the early running and had some decent openings, but a lack of incisiveness let them down; an issue Brazil are never going to have.
Again, I’m keeping things very simple here with this selection. A win here for Brazil will guarantee their passage in to the next round and that’s not an invitation they’ll pass up. They should win this at a canter.
