Inter vs Barcelona

Clash of the titans this one. Should be a cracking game between Inter and Barca, if I wasn’t so fixated on Liverpool vs Rangers I’d probably watch it.
You’ll be glad to know that Inter Milan boast the best goals average in the entirety of Serie A. They’re averaging an impressive 3.38 goals per game, and they’ve seen two or more goals in 88% of their matches. The same goes for over 2.5, jheez.
Inter have had two or more goals scored in 9 of their last 10 matches in all competitions, there was just a 1-0 win over Torino to ruin the streak.
Barcelona average 2.86 goals per game in La Liga which isn’t too bad, it’s a league that I’m not overly fond of for goals. So I’ll take that. They’ve had over 1.5 goals in both UCL games so far, a 5-1 thrashing of Plzen followed by a 2-0 loss at Bayern.

Inter have been way off the pace in Serie A as far as results go but they’ve still been decent for chances and shots on target specifically. Domestically, they’re averaging 17.3 shots per game with 5.6 on target. Remember we just need three tonight.
Inter were outclassed by Bayern but that’s going to be the case for all sides in that group. They responded well with a win over Plzen where they managed 17 shots with 7 hitting the target.
Barcelona average 18.6 shots per game in La Liga which is the second highest number in the league behind Real Madrid, no real surprise there. Barca do average 7 shots on target per game which is the best rate in the Spanish top flight.
Barcelona managed 20 shots and 10 on target during their thrashing of Plzen, and they still managed 4 on target during their 2-0 defeat in Munich.

Each team having at least one card has happened in both of Inter’s UCL matches so far. It was 1-1 on the cards front when they played Bayern, and then it was 3-2 when they travelled to Plzen. Inter vs Barca is going to be huge in the battle for 2nd so I can see it being heated at points.
Barcelona are unbeaten in La Liga but wow they love a card. Their matches average 5.14 cards and Barca themselves average 2.57 cards per game which is big for such a dominant force.
Barcelona didn’t pick up a card against Plzen but why would they during such a dominant win. Both teams picked up a card in the more balanced game vs Bayern and I think that’ll be the same against Inter tonight.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham

Eintracht Frankfurt are flying on the goals front. Domestically, they’re averaging the same as the formidable Bayern Munich. Frankfurt are averaging 3.63 goals per game in the Bundesliga and they’ve had over 1.5 goals in 88% of matches.
Frankfurt’s two results in the UCL so far have been a 3-0 loss at home to Sporting and a 1-0 win away at Marseille. Although that had just a single goal, both teams had 3+ shots on target and 1+ cards at least.
Tottenham come into this game having had 12 goals scored across their last two matches… They beat Leicester 6-2 before losing 3-1 to Arsenal during the North London Derby at the weekend. Spurs are averaging 3.63 goals per game in the Premier League.
In the Champions League, Spurs have gone 100% for over 1.5 goals so far. A 2-0 win over Marseille was followed up with a 2-0 loss in Lisbon.

Eintracht Frankfurt average 11 shots per game in the Bundesliga with 4.30 hitting the target.
Frankfurt were so poor in their first UCL match which was the home defeat against Sporting. They responded brilliantly with their win in Marseille though, they had 7 shots on target during that one.
Tottenham average 14.4 shots per game, the 5th highest average in the Premier League. As for shots on target, they average 6.4 per game.
There were 11 shots on target during Spurs’ last UCL game in Lisbon. There were 6 for Sporting and 5 for Spurs.

Frankfurt average 1.50 cards per game in the Bundesliga and overall their matches are averaging 3.50.
Each team had at least one card in each of Frankfurt’s two Champions League matches so far. It was 2-1 against Sporting on the cards front and then 1-1 against Marseille.
Tottenham’s matches average a tasty 4.88 cards per game, the hard working and battling midfield under Conte has contributed to a lot of that. Spurs are averaging 2.25 cards per game for themselves.
Tottenham started with the 2-0 win over Marseille, both teams had a couple of cards in that one. Then in Lisbon, Sporting had two cards and Spurs picked up three. Chaotic matches in terms of cards to say the least.
Ajax vs Napoli

Starting with some domestic stats, Ajax are averaging 3.63 goals per game in Holland and they’ve seen over 1.5 goals scored in 88% of their matches.
Ajax’s last straight 7 matches in all competitions saw over 1.5 goals. Their two Champions League matches so far were an emphatic 4-0 win over Rangers followed by a 2-1 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield.
Napoli have one of the highest goals averages in the Serie A which currently stands at bang on 3.00 goals per game. They’ve had over 1.5 goals scored in 88% of their league matches also, the joint best rate in Italy.
Napoli have been very goalsy so far in the Champions League too. They walloped Liverpool 4-1 at home before beating Rangers 3-0 at Ibrox.

Ajax didn’t manage three shots on target at Anfield but let’s be real, it’s probably one of the most difficult venues to play at. Well, there isn’t even an argument. Interestingly, Ajax conceded a massive 10 shots on target in that game.
Ajax’s home game against Rangers was a better example of their capabilities, especially on home turf. They bagged four times against the Glaswegians and had nine shots on goal.
As for Napoli, they’ve had 3+ shots on target in both Champions League games and they also conceded 3+ in both which is great to know. Napoli had 8 shots on target vs Liverpool and conceded 7 – what a game. They also had a massive 10 on target vs Rangers and conceded 3.

Ajax average 1.25 cards per game in the Eredivisie which is quite decent when you take into account how dominant they usually are as a club in that league.
Napoli are top of Serie A and unbeaten. Thankfully they’re also doing well on the cards front, their matches average 4.13 cards with an average of 1.50 being brandished to themselves.
Ajax avoided picking up a card during their win over Rangers but that was down to it failing to be a contest. They had two yellows in the game vs Liverpool and both sides had a card in that game.
Each team to get 1+ card is something that has been successful in both of Napoli’ UCL games so far. There were 3 yellows in their game vs Liverpool and a massive 7 during their win over Rangers.
