Arsenal vs Brentford Preview and Betting Tips
What an incredible night Arsenal fans must have had on Tuesday, 3-0 winners against Real Madrid in a Champions League Quarter Final. Whilst they will likely remain cautious going into the second leg, given Real Madrid’s past Champions League exploits, this game will still hold importance for them. Brentford’s season has seemingly stalled out, with any European hopes becoming quite slim at this stage, however ending the season on a high will be paramount to their campaign next year.

Arsenal vs Brentford
Thomas Partey has been at the heart of numerous midfield skirmishes for Arsenal this season and the Ghanaian powerhouse has committed the joint-most fouls for the Gunners in the Premier League this term (alongside Kai Havertz).
However, due to the nature of the gig in the anchorman position, Partey has had to absorb his fair share of punishment too and has drawn 25 top-flight fouls in total and 0.99 fouls per 90 minutes since August.
Partey should be in the thick of things again in Saturday’s London derby clash with Brentford, though much better value can be secured through backing the midfielder to draw a foul at 1.57, with his price to commit 1+ foul against the Bees a less palatable 1.36 in comparison.
On Saturday, the 31-year-old – who was fouled eight times across his last ten Premier League appearances – will be battling for midfield supremacy against Brentford bruiser Christian Nørgaard, who fouled four times in one sitting against Chelsea last weekend, so back Partey to be fouled at least once at The Emirates Stadium.
Gabriel Martinelli’s campaign has been laced with inconsistency, however, he has exorcised some of his frustrations with better performances more recently and the Brazilian winger looks like an easy pick up at 1.40 to lodge 1+ shot on target against Brentford.
Martinelli put in one of his more impactful Premier League shifts of the season in Arsenal’s reverse fixture against the Bees in January when he had a game-high four shots and scored the Gunners’ third goal at the Gtech Community Stadium.
With that outing to draw confidence from and momentum from a string of livewire recent displays there to be harnessed, Martinelli could be a menace against Brentford again on Saturday.
The 23-year-old lodged two shots on target in Arsenal’s thrilling demolition job on Real Madrid in midweek and the flanksman has now landed shots on target in four of his last six appearances for the Gunners, despite starting just half of the same games.
Martinelli is starting to rediscover his old swagger, so expect him to be a handful in North London. Look for the forward to produce at least one accurate effort at a price of 1.40.
Yoane Wissa is a potent counter-attacking weapon for Brentford and his ability to explode forward at pace when the Bees turn over possession could make him a target for some nervous Arsenal defenders on Saturday.
The Gunners are virtually certain to dominate the ball against a pinned-back Brentford at The Emirates Stadium, though the pacey Wissa tends to thrive in that kind of game state and the 28-year-old has the tools to trouble Arsenal on the break.
Wissa’s speed unsettled Newcastle at times in Brentford’s last Premier League away game. The attacker was fouled three times on that occasion and three times again when he featured on the road at the Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth before that.
Indeed, Wissa has been fouled three or more times in four of his last six Premier League away appearances for Brentford overall and the counter-punching specialist appeals in the fouls-drawn market again here.
With space to race into, Wissa can manufacture awkward moments for his Arsenal markers and he represents top value at even money to draw 2+ fouls again.
