Chelsea vs Fulham Preview and Betting Tips
A local derby kicks off our Premier League weekend, with Fulham making the short trip down to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.
Chelsea were mightily impressive in dismantling a poor West Ham side 5-1 last Friday and will be hoping for a similar display against another one of their London rivals.
Fulham are yet to win in the Premier League, but 1-1 draws against Brighton and Man United are no cause for panic, although the task of beating the World Champions on the road may be too much and extend their winless run another week.

Chelsea vs Fulham
Serbian midfielder, Sasa Lukic, committed more fouls than any other Fulham player last season and has started the 2025/26 campaign in the very same vein.
The 29-year-old has played the full 90 minutes in each of Fulham’s opening 2 league games this season committing a total of 7 fouls, which is an average of 3.50 fouls per game.
Last season Lukic committed a total of 66 fouls in his 30 Premier League appearances, averaging 2.20 fouls per game. A combative midfielder, Lukic puts himself about and tends to give away cheap free kicks, a dangerous recipe heading into any derby match. But especially against a Chelsea side that is packed with talented, tricky and pacey forwards.
Chelsea’s Portuguese forward, Pedro Neto, has started and completed both of the Londoner’s opening two league games and has scored 1 goal.
The 25-year-old won a lot of fouls for his club last season and has already won 2 fouls in 2 appearances of the current campaign. Only Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson won more fouls than Neto in the Premier League for Chelsea last season.
The former Wolves man featured in 35 Premier League games last season, only starting 24 times, and managed to win 59 fouls, which makes for an average of 1.68 fouls won per appearance. We’re backing Neto to be fouled 1+ times in Saturday’s West London derby against Fulham, and the stats back our prediction.
Marc Cucurella managed to score 5 times in the Premier League last season playing in a left full-back/wing-back role. The Spanish international took 24 shots in total and averaged 0.72 shots per 90 minutes in England’s topflight.
Cucurella is yet to open his account for this season but with only 2 games played, the 27-year-old has managed to take 2 shots and is therefore averaging 1.00 shots per match.
We’re expecting Cucurella to play the majority of the 90 minutes on Saturday against Fulham, as he has done in each of Chelsea’s opening two league games, and have backed the former Brighton defender to stay on trend by registering 1+ shots.
Despite only starting 1 of Cheslea’s 2 opening league games of the season, striker Liam Delap has managed more shots on target than any of his teammates.
The summer signing from Ipswich Town has taken 2 shots so far this season, each of which has landed on target. The likes of Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto have only managed to hit the target once so far for the Blues.
During Ipswich’s ill-fated return to the Premier League last season, Delap outperformed the rest of his teammates. The English striker scored 12 times and ended the campaign with a shots on target ratio of 43.9%.
Delap averaged 1.01 shots on target per 90 minutes last season and his performances for Chelsea so far suggest that he will continue in that manner this weekend.
