The key man for Cincinnati, the Brazillian is an absolute magician. Given plenty of freedom in this side, he’s allowed to pick up pockets of space and create chances for himself and his teammates.

After a sensational 15 goals and 19 assists for the Timbers last season he made the switch to the Orange and Blue, where he’s continued that form but became even more prominent in the goals department, netting 16 already this season.

Evander racks up an averages 3.84 shots per 90, a huge volume. He’s also a set-piece taker. That average puts him in the 99th percentile when compared to other attacking midfielders and wingers.

When he’s started, he’s hit this line in 22 of his 25 appearances this season, he’s so consistent. He had three the last time the sides met, and found the back of the net.

DJJ is Philly’s midfield enforcer, the Haitian is a hard-working, bustling midfielder who loves nothing more than getting stuck in.

He’s averaged 2.03 fouls per 90 this season, one of the highest in the side.

In central areas, he’ll have to come across Evander and Denkey, Cincinnati’s two most influential players who also draw a large number of fouls.

Evander, who’ll drop in to the pockets and commit players, averages 1.47 fouls drawn per 90 and Denkey has drawn 1.37 on average.

I’m expecting a very high intensity game, between first and second in the Eastern Conference and that leads me into the next pick.

BTTS is normally a fairly safe bet in big MLS clashes. The defensive side of the game in the states is still lacking, but there is some incredible attacking players.

There’s plenty on display here, with a number of players tallying up some hefty goal involvements. Evander (25 G\A), Denkey (14 G/A), Baribo (19 G/A) and even left-back Kai Wagner (13 G/A) will all start here.

In terms of stats, BTTS has landed in 54% of Cincinnati matches so far this campaign and in 50% of Philly games.

This is somewhat down to his huge volume of shots too. He loves getting attempts off, from any distance and angle, he’s averaged 3.44 shots per 90 this season.

He does only have four goals this season, but his shooting stats stack up against some of the best marksmen in the division. For example, he hits the target more on average than Sam Surridge, who is the top scorer in MLS.
