Crystal Palace vs Arsenal Betting TIps and Stats

It’s been a season to remember for Ismaila Sarr. Not only has the Palace winger kicked on from an impressive 2024/25 campaign, he’s been integral to their progress in the Europa Conference League. With a final looming, and a chance to end the season at Selhurst Park in style, I expect him to impress here.
With Arsenal likely to rotate heavily, I think Palace will create chances here regardless of how heavily they rotate themselves. Sarr will have an impact, as his 0.89 shots on target P/90 suggest he has done all season long. Only Jean Philippe Mateta has registered more shots on target in the league for Palace this season, but not even the Frenchman can match his teammate’s recent form; Sarr has hit the target in eight straight starts in all competitions, as well as in four of his last five league outings.

You’d perhaps stay away from backing opposition shots on target against Arsenal under normal circumstances, but with the title wrapped up, I’m expecting a more open game. The Gunners have conceded at least three shots on target as is in eight of their last 10 in the league.

With Oliver Glasner likely to make a few changes here, there’s certainly space for Will Hughes to step into the side on Sunday. It may be too late to fight his way into a starting berth for the Conference League final, but I don’t think that’ll matter given the nature of his game. He’ll give everything regardless.

Hughes averages 1.39 fouls P/90 in the Premier League, but that’s a number that’s been somewhat dampened by a slew of substitute appearances. A closer look at form makes for ridiculously good reading; Hughes has committed at least two fouls in eight of his last nine starts in the league, as well as in 14 of his last 16 starts. Let’s not forget, he started against Arsenal at the Emirates in December, and committed three fouls.

Arsenal will make changes themselves here, and the fact that there’s space for someone like Myles Lewis-Skelly in the midfield makes this a tantalising prospect. The Arsenal youngster draws 1.73 fouls P/90, and alongside other quality operators, he can run Hughes ragged.

It’s difficult to pin down any specific Arsenal name in this one with the title won and a Champions League Final to come. The same could be said for Palace, but Glasner has suggested that he’s unlikely to make too many changes, and Ismaila Sarr is a player he’ll want to keep in form.

Once again, my attention turns to the Senegalese winger. Sarr is quick, he’s direct, and he has quick enough feet to cause this Arsenal backline some problems. He draws 1.73 fouls P/90 in the league, and he’s drawn at least 11 more fouls than any other player in the Palace squad this term. This selection has landed in nine of Sarr’s last 12 starts in all competitions, and in six of his last seven starts in the Premier League.

Hincapie, Calafiori, Arsenal have some incredibly rash operators at left back, and either one could easily send Sarr tumbling to the floor on multiple occasions. The former averages 0.95 fouls P/90, but Calafiori’s 1.41 fouls P/90 is the real selling point here. It’s a great battle, one I’ll have a close eye on.
