It is heading into crunch time in the Premier League, with Man City chasing the title, and Crystal Palace aiming to stave off any lingering fears of relegation.
The Eagles are not yet safe, though an eight-point cushion over 18th-placed Luton looks as though it may already be enough to ensure a 12th-straight season in the top-flight. Oliver Glasner has been able to steady the ship effectively since his appointment, picking up a win and three draws from his six league games in charge.
City meanwhile in the midst of a thrilling three-way fight for the Premier League title, one which if they won would represent a record-breaking fourth English league title in a row, something never done in the entire history of English league football.
Palace have been a bogey team for City in recent years, the Eagles have lost just two of their last five league clashes with the treble winners. They nicked a 2-2 draw at the Etihad earlier this season and they will feel they can get another result here.
City will have one eye on Tuesday’s crucial Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid, but they know all too well they cannot afford any more slip-ups in the league after failing to beat both Liverpool and Arsenal in recent weeks.

Crystal Palace vs Man City Predicted Lineups
Huge injury list means little room for manoeuvre for Glasner
With so many players on the treatment table, Oliver Glasner is essentially forced to select the same starting lineup once again. There is still no Marc Guehi or Michael Olise, with Cheick Doucoure out for the season too. Chris Richards being out means Jefferson Lerma is now deputising at centre back, something we expect will continue here. Jean-Philippe Mateta will lead the line in front of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, while Daniel Munoz and Tyrick Mitchell will supply the width from full back in Glasner’s preferred 3-4-2-1 formation.

Midweek rotation pays off for Guardiola
A surprise decision to bench Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne had no negative impact as City ran out 4-1 winners at home against high-flying Aston Villa. After getting a rest both are expected to start here, with Mateo Kovacic also returning to the side. That means Julian Alvarez, Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku will all return to the bench, while Rico Lewis can count himself unfortunate to be the defender who misses out with John Stones expected to be fit enough to return to the side in time for this one after watching Wednesday’s game from the bench.

Crystal Palace vs Man City Team Stats
Value may be available on Palace shots
Palace will know they have a tough task ahead of them here, but they have shown in recent meetings with City that they are unphased by this. They will doubtless cause some scares for the visitors, having hit at least three shots on target in 23 of their 30 league games this season, and in all but two of their 15 home games. City concede 2.87 shots on target per game and have allowed at least three shots on target in four of their last seven in the league. With a crucial game midweek, expect plenty of subs to be made if City are well clear late on, which may open space for Palace to create chances towards the end. They can be backed for 3+ shots on target here at 1.44.

Back City to do the job efficiently here
Though their defence has not always been at its best this season, City tend to really come into their own at this stage of the season. The Blues have kept clean sheets in both of their last two games against sides not in the top six of the Premier League and in three of their last four games against bottom-half opponents. Backing the treble winners to win at 1.30 is reasonably good value considering their recent form, with the Blues having won 10 of their last 11 league games against sides beneath them in the table.

Crystal Palace vs Man City Shots and Shots on Target Stats
Eberechi Eze offers nice value
Before failing to register a shot away at Bournemouth on Tuesday, Eze had an ongoing streak of eight straight Palace appearances with at least one shot on target. This run included the 5-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal, showing that no matter the result here, Eze will be trying to find the net whenever possible.

Impossible to ignore man of the moment Phil Foden
Foden has been electric this season, now having scored 20 goals and with 11 assists to go with them after his hat-trick against Villa on Wednesday, and all without a single penalty. The youngster has had 1.40 shots on target per 90 this season, from 3.31 shots, which ranks Foden second behind only Erling Haaland for shots on target for City. He presents multiple options in this market, having had at least one shot on target in five of his last six league games, and having two or more shots on target in four of his last six (the exceptions coming against Liverpool and Arsenal). He can be backed at 1.25 for one shot on target here, and at 2.25 to have two or more.

Crystal Palace vs Man City Goals and Assists Stats
Mateta in good form of late
The Frenchman’s form has improved greatly in recent weeks, no doubt aided by the increased creativity in the side as Eze returns from injury and the wing backs deployed by new manager Oliver Glasner allow for more crosses to be put into the box. Two of his three non-penalty goals in the last two months have come either directly or indirectly from Daniel Munoz, with Eze supplying the other. Mateta has now scored or assisted in four of his last six Palace games, scoring at the Etihad in the reverse fixture back in December. Though securing another goal involvement here looks to be a longshot, he still represents good value at 4.33, and is the pick of the Palace options here.

Nice value on Rodri in the goal or assist market
Man City’s Spanish holding midfielder was already widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best, players in his position in the world prior to this season, but his explosion of goals and assists has surprised even his biggest supporters. Rodri now has eight goals and 10 assists this season, and is enjoying his best spell of goal contributions of the entire season in the last two months. In his last seven games for club and country, Rodri has three goals and five assists, a return even Kevin De Bruyne would be proud of. He is priced way too high on the goal or assist market, at 3.60, and having either scored or assisted in three of his last four, he may prove a fantastic longshot option here.

Crystal Palace Cards and Fouls Stats
Will Hughes to struggle with Rodri and Kovacic
Hughes is well known for his fouls, his 1.81 fouls committed per 90 putting him clear at the top of the Palace fouls charts. Hughes will be asked to keep tabs on Rodri and Mateo Kovacic as the City midfielders attempt to operate just in front of the Palace midfield line. Both win 1.12 fouls per 90, and despite Hughes being unbackable at 1.17 to commit one foul, backing him to commit two or more fouls at 1.83 is much better value. He has committed at least two fouls in six of his last eight starts for Palace.

Foden to give Munoz and Ward a real test
Phil Foden looks a very solid option in the multiple fouls won market here, where he can be backed to be fouled twice or more at 1.62. Foden is fouled more than any other City player expected to start here, his 1.76 fouls won per 90 sitting well clear of second-placed Rodri who has 1.12. He will be up against Daniel Munoz, who will be expected to help right centre-back Joel Ward with the pacy and tricky Foden. Foden has won two or more fouls in four of his last six league games, while Munoz and Ward commit 1.63 and 1.01 fouls per 90 respectively.

Man City Cards and Fouls Stats
Gvardiol again undervalued in the fouls markets
Despite knowing he will be tasked with keeping quiet Eberechi Eze and Daniel Munoz, Josko Gvardiol is priced at 1.40 to commit a foul here. The Croatian commits 0.98 fouls per 90 in the Premier League and has now committed at least one foul in 10 of his last 15 starts for the Blues. With Eze and Munoz winning 2.29 and 0.63 fouls per 90 respectively, it would be a big surprise if Gvardiol was able to get through all 90 minutes at Selhurst Park without committing at least one foul.

Wharton fouls won looks a solid bet
Adam Wharton is a nice odds-boosting option in the fouls won markets here. He can be backed at 1.20 to win a foul and having done so in all but one of his eight Palace appearances since his January move, those odds look like very good value. He will be up against De Bruyne, Rodri and Kovacic, all of whom average over a foul per 90, at 1.38, 1.35 and 1.03 respectively, so you would imagine Wharton is highly likely to be fouled at least once here.
