Defender Japhet Tanganga is the unlikely player who tops the shots taken chart for Millwall this season with the Lions’ defender having 36 shots in the Championship. Forward Femi Azeez is the next in that list with 33 shots to his name, but our bet is on the 25-year-old defender to have at least 1 shot against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Tanganga has seen 8 of his efforts hit the target, 2 of which resulted in goals, and the full-back has a shots on target ration of 22.2% which could be better. As things stand, Tanganga is averaging 1.16 shots per 90 minutes in the Championship and boasts an xG of 2.1.

Only Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta have taken more shots this season for Crystal Palace than their Senegalese winger Ismaila Sarr. The former Watford man has taken 40 shots, 23 of which have hit the target and that makes for a SoT ratio of 57.5%.

Eze and Mateta haven’t been as accurate in front of goal as Sarr, and the winger has really impressed at Selhurst Park with 6 goals and 3 assists in the Premier League alone. Sarr is currently averaging 1.13 shots on target per 90 minutes in England’s top-flight, has a goals to shots ratio of 0.15 and an xG of 6.4, making him one of the home side’s key attacking players.

Nobody in the Millwall squad has committed more fouls in the Championship this season than their combative midfielder George Saville.

The Northern Irish international has 43 fouls against him in his 34 appearances in the league, making for an average of 1.26 fouls per game.

Saville, who also has worst disciplinary record for Millwall with 11 yellow cards to his name, is going to face a tough midfield battle against the likes of Wil Hughes and Jefferson Lerma, both of whom enjoy the physical side of the beautiful game; not to mention Ismaila Sarr and Eberechi Eze who will both cut inside with the ball and will have to be targeted by Saville and co.

Eberechi Eze top the shots chart for the Eagles this season with 77 efforts but teammate Jean-Philippe Mateta is in second place with 52 shots in the Premier League and has been more accurate and clinical in front of goal.

Mateta has made 27 appearances in the PL so far this season, 25 of which have been starts, which makes for an average of 2.20 shots per 90 minutes. This weekend the big French forward will be going up against Championship defenders and with that in mind, we’re expecting Mateta to have at least 3 shots during the 90 minutes.

Mateta’s SoT ratio might only stand at 40.4% but it doesn’t matter if he even hits the target once with this bet as long as he takes at least 3 shots.
