Crystal Palace vs Tottenham PREDICTED LINEUPS
Eze and Olise injuries a blow
Palace are still without their influential attacker Eberechi Eze whilst Michael Olise is also sidelined. Jeffrey Schlupp is doubtful whilst young defender Nathan Ferguson is ruled out. The Eagles should lineup in their familiar 4-2-3-1 system with the trio of Jordan Ayew, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Odsonne Edouard leading the line in attack.

Udogie is the only question mark
The main doubt for Spurs is left back Destiny Udogie, who was subbed off last week with a muscle injury. If he’s not fit to start, then Emerson Royal will likely get the nod. The North Londoners should otherwise be unchanged and line up in their usual 4-2-3-1 formation.

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham team stats
Goal drought for Hodgson’s men
The hosts have struggled in front of goal this season averaging just 0.78 goals per game. They have been decent enough defensively although their xGA of 1.44 suggests they might be slightly overachieving at that end of the field. Palace only average 12.78 shots against per match which is fairly decent. Their corner count has been pretty low (4.0) and they have been well-disciplined at just 1.56 cards per game. Palace can be quite a stand-offish team and don’t press that much compared to other sides in the division.

Frantic Spurs upping the card count
Spurs have been in tremendous form and average 2.22 goals per game. Their metrics are all quite legitimate and one standout statistic is their average shots per game is close to 19. The visitors have fired in nearly seven shots on target per game which is a very high number and has certainly helped them in the goalscoring department. Both corners and cards have been extremely high in Spurs’ fixtures. Flag kicks average over 11 whilst cards have been through the roof at an average of nearly seven in each fixture. The frantic nature of their style has led to some cynical play.

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham shots and shots on target stats
Andersen to attack set pieces?
Palace average around 12 shots per game and only a couple of players really stand out for them in this department. Odsonne Edouard fires in nearly three attempts per 90 with usually at least one landing on target. Jordan Ayew is far less accurate but does have a higher shooting average of 2.18 this season. Edouard is 1.33 to have two or more shots which could be an option to add to your Crystal Palace bet builder. Defender Joachim Andersen averages nearly one shot per 90 minutes and is a major threat from set pieces. He can be grabbed at 1.53 just to try one attempt under the lights.

Plethora of shooting options for the visitors
Spurs have been whacking in nearly 20 shots per game and a glutton of players are worth keeping an eye on. The attacking trio of James Maddison, Son Heung-min and Richarlison all average at least three shots per 90 minutes whilst even the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma average around two attempts. Palace only allow 12.78 shots against per game which is something to consider though. Richarlison and Son Heung-min might be the safest options to add to your Tottenham bet builder to have three or more shots at 1.91 and 1.83 respectively.

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham goals and assists stats
Edouard the main man for Palace
Palace are one of the lowest-scoring sides in the Premier League, netting just seven times in their first nine fixtures. Odsonne Edouard has been the main man, scoring more than half of their goals (4), with Jean-Philippe Mateta supplying three assists. Edouard can be backed at 3.75 to score anytime which might tempt several punters. If Palace find the back of the net, he is the most likely candidate. The dangerous Joachim Andersen is 18/1 and he’s already scored twice this season. He can be a huge menace from set pieces.

Son and Maddison the clear dangers
James Maddison has been one of the signings of the season and has weighed in with three goals and five assists. He is always best backed in the to score or assist market and is a very generous-looking 2.10 to achieve that in this game. That must be one of the best options to add to any Tottenham bet builder. Son Heung-min is the leading Spurs scorer with seven goals and is the shortest price of anyone to hit the back of the net at 1.91. That could also be a very viable option though considering his form. For those feeling brave Richarlison is 2.30 to score or assist.

Crystal Palace cards and fouls stats
Ayew sure to produce pressure
Palace have been a very clean team this season averaging only 1.56 cards per game. They are also a team who don’t tend to foul too much at just 10.90 in each contest. Their cards have been evenly split amongst the team with Joel Ward leading the charts with three. He averages less than one foul per 90 minutes though. Jordan Ayew could definitely be classed as a more pressing type of forward and might be the best option in the fouls market. The Ghanaian can be backed at 1.80 to have two or more fouls which ties in with his average.

Maddison menace a problem for Hughes
Spurs have drawn over three cards on average from their opponents and James Maddison sticks out as a nightmare opponent with his skill and high dribbling rate. He could pop up anywhere, but perhaps midfielder Will Hughes is most vulnerable. He is the shortest price of any player to have two or more fouls (1.50), but this could be a strong option to add to your Crystal Palace bet builder considering his matchup.

Tottenham cards and fouls stats
Bissouma a banker for the book?
Spurs are right up there amongst the dirtiest teams in the Premier League this season and average 3.56 cards per game. Midfielder Yves Bissouma has obtained a staggering seven of them and also averages 1.51 fouls per 90 minutes. He is the clear candidate to go into the book and odds of 2.50 must appear mighty tempting to anyone looking at this market. Bissouma is 1.20 just to have one or more fouls which also looks like a great addition to any Tottenham bet builder. The visitors only rank ninth for average fouls in the Premier League so the better value option might be to go searching in the cards market for your bet builder selections.

Ayew threat must be countered
Palace have drawn 2.56 cards from their opponents and their biggest threat is when they counter-attack at pace. Jordan Ayew has been fouled a massive 3.73 times per 90 minutes and will often lead several of their breakaways. He has a high dribbling rate, and it is just a question of working out who will be most vulnerable. Whoever plays left back for Spurs, Destiny Udogie or Emerson Royal could have a tough evening. Udogie is just 1.10 to have one or more fouls which is a very short price. You may have to take him at 1.57 to have two or more in this category.
