Leg 1: fuLHAM doUBLE cHANCE

Fulham have lost just once at Craven Cottage all season, a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa. The Cottagers can make a solid case that they should have at least taken a point there too, winning the xG battle 1.8-1.6. They have taken seven points from their other three home games this season.

Aside from the Villa loss and the 3-2 loss to Man City away from home, a game in which they pushed the champions all the way, Fulham have not lost a game since August 16, winning or drawing six of their last eight league games and eight of their last 10 games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Brentford are in the top half of the Premier League table, but their home form is carrying them to this position. The Bees have not won a single point away from home so far this season, losing all four games they have played away from the Gtech Community Stadium.

Admittedly, their away fixtures have been tough, but their tendency to concede multiple goals per game makes a first win for Brentford here a tough sell. Fulham are a very solid side and should be able to take at least a point here.

Leg 2: fuLHAM cORNER mATCH BET

Fulham only average 5.11 corners per game in the Premier League, but they have generally run well above this average in games at Craven Cottage, taking six or more corners in three of their four home games this season.

Only Aston Villa have come to Fulham and taken more corners than their hosts so far this season, with Fulham having more corners than Leicester, West Ham, and Newcastle across their opening four home fixtures.

Brentford, meanwhile, have allowed the fourth-most corners in the Premier League this season, with 7.56 corners being taken when facing the Bees in 2024/25. They have also averaged less than Fulham’s 5.11 corners, taking just 4.44 per game so far this campaign.

Across their four away games this season Thomas Frank’s side have taken just 13 corners in total, an average of 3.25 per game. Their totals have not been much improved at home either, with just two of their nine league games this season seeing Brentford have over four corners.

That means the Cottagers have had at least six corners against every non-Champions League side they have faced at home, whilst Brentford have not hit more than four corners on the road all season.

lEG 3: yOANE wISSA tO have 1+ Shots On Target

Though we do not expect Brentford to win here, they will certainly have chances and their direct counter-attacking style will match up well against a Fulham side that has had more possession than their opponents in six of their nine league games to date.

Yoane Wissa is the key man for the Bees, with his return from injury providing a huge boost to their hopes this season. Prior to his injury, Wissa had three goals in four Premier League starts, and his singular start since the injury saw him bag a brace against Ipswich to make it five goals in five starts.

The Congolese international has had a shot on target in all but one of his starts in the league this season, that being Brentford’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield. He had four shots against Ipswich, with three on target in his only start since his injury, so he looks to be right back to full match sharpness.

Fulham are a solid side but Wissa should get chances, and we would expect him to test Bernd Leno with at least one of them.

lEG 4: Sepp Van Den Berg To Commit 1+ Fouls

Brentford have committed the fewest fouls of any Premier League side this season, which has actually worked out well for us here. The lack of fouls means they have plenty of options for value picks in the fouls market, and the best of these is Sepp van den Berg.

The 22-year-old Dutchman has started all but one of Brentford’s games since his summer move from Liverpool, playing all across the backline. We expect him to be playing as a left back thanks to Kristoffer Ajer’s foot injury.

Van den Berg has been one of the club’s top foulers, committing 0.83 per 90 in the league. He has now fouled six times in his last six Brentford starts, fouling twice in two of these six games.

If he does play down the left, he will have a tough assignment in Adama Traore, who has been in fine form for Fulham in recent weeks. The Spaniard has won 2.08 fouls per 90 in the Premier League this season, drawing a foul in six of his last seven starts for Fulham, including two or more fouls won in four of these seven games.
