Fulham vs Wolves Bet Builder Stats Pack

Fulham vs Wolves Bet Builder Stats Pack Featured Image

Fulham are incredibly 6th in the Premier League table and welcome Wolves to Craven Cottage for this Friday night football fixture. Marco Silva has been doing a brilliant job here in West London and fans can hardly believe the dizzy heights they are at right now. Wolves, meanwhile, continue their fight against relegation and will try to shake off their surprise 0-1 defeat last week to Bournemouth.

For you Friday night fanatics, I’ve covered the stats behind both teams for xG, goals, shots, corners, passes, cards and fouls. So if you’re picking a bet builder, you can back your bets with data alongside my Stats Pack Guide.

Lineups

The big team news for Fulham is that Aleksandar Mitrovic is almost certain to miss this match due to injury. He is dealing with a hamstring problem and manager Marco Silva said he probably won’t be risked. Carlos Vinicius is the most likely replacement although Solomon could also come into contention either upfront or on the right wing. Midfielder Tom Cairney is injured, otherwise Fulham shouldn’t have too many other injury problems.

7 22

Wolves should welcome back Mario Lemina to the midfield after suspension. Daniel Podence is pushing for a place in the side on the left wing. It’s a very close call at left back between Rayan Ait Nouri and Bueno. Both are splitting minutes at the moment and it’s a genuine 50/50 who gets in the XI.

Team stats

Fulham average 1.46 goals per game and just 1.25 against. They have been overachieving defensively considering their xGA is 1.65. One thing that is very noticeable is how many shots and SOT they’ve faced this season. The opposition have on average been firing 5.00 SOT and 13.50 shots which is concerning.

Corners have been commonplace in Fulham games. They average 4.71 corners themselves in each match whilst their opponents have racked up 5.67 in each fixture. The Cottagers have been a dirty team and obtained 2.55 cards per game, but they’ve also drawn 1.79 cards from their opposition on average.

Team Stats 90

Wolves only average 0.74 goals per game which is a massive underachievement compared to their xG of 1.42. Their defence is ok, only averaging 1.39 goals against. Wolves only faced 3.83 SOT per game which is quite a good ratio. Some of their offensive issues might be down to only firing 11.60 shots per game.

Corners have been relatively high in Wolves fixtures. They average 5.09 per match themselves, whilst they’ve conceded 4.91. Cards have also been on the high side for Wolves, picking up 2.39 themselves, with the opposition averaging 1.83 per game.

Team Stats 91

Player shots and shots on target

Mitrovic dominates this category averaging a whopping 4.20 shots per 90 mins. He has scored plenty of goals, but his accuracy rate isn’t great with only 1.33 SOT. The trio of Willian, Pereira and Vinicius could be worth keeping an eye on to try their luck from distance. None of those players average more than 0.77 SOT per 90 mins though. Manor Soloman has caught the eye recently with two key goals and has impressive metrics, albeit from limited minutes.

2 95

Whoever starts upfront for Wolves will be the major contender for most shots. The trio of Jimenez, Costa and Cunha average around 3 or more shots per 90 mins but neither of them have better than 33% accuracy. Key midfielder Ruben Neves is good for an absolute banger of goal every now and then. He averages 1.91 shots per 90 mins, whilst Daniel Podence is another who will look to shoot (2.21).

2 97

Player goals and assists

There is only one man to start with and that is with leading marksman Alexander Mitrovic netting 11 goals for Fulham. He is the standout player and would be a big miss if he isn’t fit to play. The next highest scorer for the West Londoners is Bobby Reid with four, followed by Palhinha with three. The player who leads Fulham for assists is Brazilian technician Andreas Pereira with six. Former Chelsea man Willian has three goals and two assists.

3 94

The Wolves scoring chart is not an impressive look. Both Daniel Podence and Ruben Neves have five goals each but nobody else has more than one goal! Both Cunha and Costa have not been here all season and could improve those numbers, but Wolves have lacked firepower and also creativity.

3 95

Player passing

Fulham only average 46% possession, although did have exactly 50% of the ball in their most recent home game vs Forest. Players to watch out for in the passing markets are centre backs Diop and Ream who both average over the 50 mark. This is mostly a counter-attacking side though which is worth bearing in mind.

6 86

Wolves average 50% possession but under new manager Julien Lopategui that figure has been rising. They had 69% of the ball vs Bournemouth last week and even managed to have 45% possession vs Manchester City away. He has been transforming this team into a more possession-hungry unit. The trio of Dawson, Neves and Kilman should all rack up quite a few passes here. Even though they are away, Wolves probably have a fair chunk of the ball.

6 87

Fulham cards

This Fulham team are no strangers to picking up cards. Palhinha leads them with 9 cards in 23 appearances, but the trio of Bobby Reid, Kenny Tete and Andreas Pereira aren’t far behind. Left back Antonee Robinson does not foul as often (0.89) but has also racked up the cards.

4 94

Adama Traore is the obvious player who can cause the most problems to the Fulham defence. He dribbles nearly 6 times on average per 90 mins and gets fouled   2.04 times. Midfielder Nunes has also shown a high dribbling tendency this season and may well be targeted a lot for fouls. Whoever plays upfront for Wolves, probably Matheus Cunha will also be a tricky matchup.

Wolves cards

Ruben Neves only averages 0.77 fouls per 90 mins but has obtained 7 cards. He is a clever player and will readily commit a cynical tactical foul if needed. Right back Semedo has six cards and a fairly high foul rate (1.52). The trio of Podence, Lemina and Ait Nouri all have four cards and a sizable foul rate around 1.50 per 90 mins.

4 95

Alexander Mitrovic is a powerful beast of a striker and can be very difficult to bring down. It is no surprise to see him get fouled on average 1.71 times per 90 mins. Should Vinicius take his place then he actually gets fouled at a slightly higher rate. Right back Kenny Tete gets fouled on average 1.62 times and will be a difficult matchup. Both Palhinha and Willian could be a handful as well.
