In the reverse fixture, Bournemouth adopted an equally aggressive and combative approach, committing 15 fouls in total – Adams himself was responsible for two of those infringements. This weekend, the American international is set for another tough test, coming up against Florian Wirtz. Given how the German playmaker thrives in tight spaces, drifting between the lines to exploit pockets, Adams will have to be fully focused if Bournemouth are to stand a chance.
