New manager Ruben Amorim started life at Man United with a rather uninspiring 1-1 draw away to Ipswich. Now he’s had longer to work with his players we should maybe expect a better performance in this affair. Man United are short priced favourites to get the victory but they should have too much for the Norwegian champions.
In his first match at Old Trafford Amorim will get the players fired up and they won’t treat this lightly. It’s a big game for Bodo Glimt and the type of nights they can just try and enjoy.
They have a huge domestic match coming up at the weekend though where if they win their final league game they’ll be champions again. There’s talk of some rotation and their eyes might not be fully on this game.
Man United to win looks like a good starting block for this bet builder.
LEG 2 : Marcus Rashford To Score Anytime
The first big positive to come out of the Ruben Amorim regime was that Marcus Rashford scored within a couple of minutes against Ipswich. In this new 3-4-3 system it clearly looks like Rashford’s main job is going to be the main striker. The starting XI is difficult to judge for this particular game but based on the first performance and scoring, then Rashford should keep his spot unless he is to be kept fresh for the weekend.
He is a confidence type of striker who could go on a hot run now. One goal could easily lead to more being scored. He’s best backed in the anytime scorer market because there will be less chances of providing an assist in his new role. Rashford is going to be asked to simply score goals, which could suit him.
LEG 3 : Bruno Fernandes To Have 3+ Shots
Bruno is still going to be an integral part of this Man United team under the new manager and is always a huge candidate in the shot market. The Portuguese international fired in three attempts vs Ipswich although didn’t find the target. The main advantage of backing Fernandes in the shots market is that he’s likely to be on all dangerous free kicks, and penalty taking duty.
It’s a nice cheap way to rack up the shots tally. But he’s also very dangerous from open play and will fire in attempts if in a good position. Bruno averages 3.10 shots per 90 mins in the Premier League this season and 2.70 in the Europa League.
The stats also back up this selection so taking Bruno Fernandes to have three or more shots looks like a nice bet builder addition and should cover in a match where United are clear favourites.
Leg 4 : Philip Zicnkernagel To Commit 2+ Fouls
The Bodo Glimt XI is difficult to predict here. Manager Kjetil Knutsen admitted that there will be some changes and likely rotation as he looks ahead to the weekend title decider in Norway. One man who didn’t play the previous game but who is expected to come into the side at Old Trafford is attacker Philip Zinckernagel. The former Watford man can be expected to be given at least an hour on the field and his main role is a pressing type of forward who will harass the Man United players. He has the highest average foul count of all the Bodo Glimt players per 90 mins in the Europa League this season (2.50).
It won’t matter if he commits a few cheap fouls or even gets booked because he’ll probably get replaced by the 70th minute which gives him a license to disrupt Man United as much as possible. Taking Zinckernagel to commit two or more fouls looks like a nice bet builder addition because in his area of the field it won’t matter as much if he gives away free kicks.
