Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Stats Pack, Bet Builder Tips and Predictions

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Bet Builder Stats Pack Featured Image

Nottingham Forest find themselves in a worrying 17th following the reduction of Everton’s points deduction to six. They are four points above the relegation zone, with Luton in 18th also having a game in hand. They are unlikely to hear a verdict on their own prospective points deduction until early April.

However, their opponents are top of the table and have only dropped points once in 2024. Liverpool are flying high at the moment and spirits were lifted further by their Carabao Cup win last weekend. They will be hoping to maintain their one-point advantage over Man City by winning here.

Our Stats Pack Guide can help you get the most out of the data used in these articles.

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Predicted Lineups

No fresh concerns for Forest

Forest lost late to Man United in the midweek FA Cup action but managed to come through unscathed. There’s no fresh injuries or suspensions for the Tricky Trees. Left back Nuno Tavares is ruled out after suffering an injury in the most recent Premier League home game vs West Ham. The likes of Ola Aina, Ibrahima Sangare and Willy Boly are lacking fitness and are unlikely to be in the XI. We should expect a 4-2-3-1 system from Forest.

Liverpool relying on Klopp’s kids again

Liverpool have an abundance of injuries with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson, Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones on the sidelines. Wataru Endo and Mo Salah are both doubtful along with Darwin Nunez. The Reds should line up in a 4-3-3 formation and will once again be leaning heavily on some youngsters like Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliot and Jayden Danns. This is a difficult XI to predict and Joe Gomez is currently set to start in a holding midfield role like he did in midweek.

Forest continue to concede goals and corners

Of great concern has been the defensive performances of Forest, conceding a hefty 1.85 goals per game on average. Their scoring record under Nuno Espirito Santo has been improved but they only average a measly 11.12 shots per game. The Tricky Trees have consistently been giving up corners at an average of 6.46 in each contest, although they only conceded four in midweek vs Man United. Watch out for plenty of cards on both sides considering their seasonal averages.

Dominant stats for Liverpool

Liverpool have impressive metrics at both ends of the pitch. They average a stunning 19 shots per game with nearly seven on target. The Reds are missing a lot of key players though so quite how much we can take from this data is questionable. Liverpool have racked up nearly seven corners per game and this is a figure to watch out for at the City ground. Cards have generally been on the high side in Liverpool games and they’ve drawn plenty from their opponents.

Gibbs-White to have the goal in his sights

Forest only average just over 11 shots per game and are more of a counter-attacking side who don’t shoot that freely. Anthony Elanga and Morgan-Gibbs White are the primary players to look at in the shots markets. Gibbs-White is always a danger and should be on set pieces so another bet builder addition could be him to have two or more attempts at a very juicy 1.83. Elanga is 1.62 in the same market. The main main upfront Taiwo Awoniyi could also be looked at for two or more shots at 1.36 and at 1.53 to have a single shot on target.

Van Dijk to strike?

Jurgen Klopp’s men average a massive 19 shots per game although without serial shooter Darwin Nunez we can expect that figure to come down. Captain Virgil van Dijk has taken it upon himself to lead the line recently and scored vs Luton and in the EFL Cup final. He’s 1.33 to have a single shot in this game which could be excellent bet builder material. The trio of Elliott, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo all average over three shots per 90 minutes so must be considered in this market as well.

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Goals and Assists Stats

Awoniyi the main man

Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi is the most dangerous Forest weapon. He is a clinical finisher and a serious physical handful. He can be backed to score anytime at odds of 3.10. He will tempt many to add him to their Nottingham Forest bet builder. Anthony Elanga looks like a good option in the ‘to score or assist’ market where he can be backed at 3.60. Morgan Gibbs-White is another alternative in this market at 3.10.

A Chance for other Liverpool attackers to shine

Liverpool might be without some serious big hitters like Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez. We must look elsewhere to the likes of Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo who will still present significant problems to Forest. Both are probably best backed in the ‘to score or assist’ market and both are the same price at 2.0. This looks fair enough, especially if both players start. Diaz would be given a slight edge due to his better finishing.

Nottingham Forest Cards and Fouls Stats

Williams to come under pressure

Forest are mid level for cards in the Premier League this season with 56 yellows and 3 reds. They are middle of the road for fouls at 11.30 per game. Moussa Niakhate stands out at 4.33 to be carded when you consider his seasonal record. Possible foul options for Forest are Morgan Gibbs-White who might give some cheap free kicks away and right back Neco Williams. Gibbs-White is as big as 1.44 to commit one foul with Williams shorter at 1.22.

2 29 2024 NOTTINGHAM FOREST betbuilder stats pack CARDS FOR

Liverpool are mid table for fouls drawn per game (10.50). Teams sometimes drop off and are wary of the technical skills of Klopp’s men. The front trio will obviously be dangerous with Luis Diaz especially proving elusive and adding further weight that Williams might struggle. Cody Gakpo will trouble the centre backs and it’s interesting that Conor Bradley draws nearly two fouls per 90. Perhaps the Forest left-hand side of Harry Toffolo and Callum Hudson-Odoi could give away some cheap free kicks.

Liverpool Cards and Fouls Stats

Dirty Diaz to commit multiple fouls

The Merseysiders have obtained the third-fewest cards in the Premier League this season with just 47 yellows, albeit they have picked up five reds. They rank in the top four for fouls committed though (12.40) and often give away cheap free kicks especially higher up the field. Luis Diaz averages nearly two fouls per 90 and can be backed at 1.83 to commit multiple offences. Alexis MacAllister to commit one or more fouls at 1.20 looks like safe bet builder material. The Argentinian midfielder might be decent value at 4.50 to be carded as well.

2 29 2024 LIVERPOOL betbuilder stats pack CARDS FOR

Forest are only fouled 9.60 times on average in each game, which is the fifth-lowest rate in the Premier League. Wingers Elanga and Hudson-Odoi will try and beat their man. Andy Robertson is an experienced left back though and young Conor Bradley has shown impressive defensive resilience and maturity for his age. There’s a reason why Robertson is one of the biggest prices (1.73) of anyone to commit a foul in this match.
