We’ve taken a plunge into one of the most popular individual markets on the docket and with most bookmakers paying out four places each way this season, there are options aplenty in the Premier League top scorer odds ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Erling Haaland ran away with the golden boot in 2022/23, but will he have the same motivation after proving himself by helping Manchester City to the treble last term? Harry Kane showed his class to score 30 goals in a desperately below-par Tottenham Hotspur side, will Manor Salomon and James Maddison improve the supply line to the England captain?

Erling Haaland
With 36 goals in 35 Premier League appearances and 52 strikes in 53 runouts in all competitions overall, Norwegian predator Erling Haaland was a tour de force during his first year in England and at 8/11 to top the charts for the second season on the spin, the 22-year-old is certain to be heavily backed in the markets.
With last year’s nearest rival, Harry Kane, pushing for a move to Bayern Munich and third-placed Ivan Toney suspended until the New Year, Haaland’s route to the Golden Boot looks even smoother this time around. It remains to be seen whether City will suffer from a natural decrease in arousal due to their achievements last season, although it does not appear that Pep Guardiola is the kind of manager who would allow that to happen.
History would tell us that it is not likely that Haaland is just as prolific as he was last season, but then again a team that creates as many goalscoring opportunities as City do has rarely been seen in the Premier League, therefore barring any serious injury Haaland is rightfully favourite to retain the golden boot in the Premier League top scorer odds.

Mohamed Salah
Despite Liverpool’s regression as a whole and a modest campaign by his own sky-high standards, Mohamed Salah still managed to bag 19 Premier League goals last season – a tally that made him the division’s fourth-best marksman for 2023/24.
As we touched on earlier, Liverpool have wrinkles to iron out in defence and midfield, though the Reds are a match for anyone in terms of the number of goal-scoring chances they create, and Salah can always be relied upon to gobble up the opportunities that fall his way. At 17/2, the three-time Golden Boot winner has each-way value in spades in the Premier League top scorer odds.
With Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister set to improve the Reds’ creative from central areas, Salah will likely get on the end of better chances than were being offered up to him by the likes of Jordan Henderson and Stefan Bajcetic last term.

Nicolas Jackson
For the more adventurous punters out there, new Chelsea signing Nicolas Jackson could be an option to weigh up at 66/1 in the Premier League top scorer odds – a price that makes the 22-year-old striker a potentially lucrative each-way fancy.
Jackson netted 12 times in just 16 starts in La Liga for his previous club Villarreal at the back-end of the La Liga season and his combination of speed, power and accuracy looks like a great fit for the Premier League.
The Senegalese international has already looked the part in pre-season and Jackson has the potential to be a breakout star in 2023/24.
