Huge game in France this evening as PSG look to continue their destructive early season form which has seen them win 5-0, 5-2 and 7-1. They face a Monaco side struggling for form. These clashes often produce plenty of goals, cards and controversy.
Predicted lineups
PSG have all the big guns fit and ready with that outrageous front 3 set to take to the field again. They’re on fire right now. One change as Vitinha sits out due to suspension, summer addition Renato Sanches is likely to start.

Monaco also have a suspension to deal with in the form of Vanderson, Ruben Aguilar is likely to deputise. Wissam Ben Yedder features from the off in attack.

Team stats
PSG’s stats are a little bit terrifying. As mentioned, they’ve been on a demolition course so far this season and have faced little to no resistance, even against a strong Lille side.

Monaco haven’t had the best start and their stats reflect that. Could be a very long evening for the Principality side. That xGA has to be a particularly big concern.

player shooting
Again, brace yourselves for how PSG dominate the stats. Neymar, Messi and Mbappe are untouchable right now and it’s no shock to see them leading the way on this one.

Monaco have had some issues with suspensions and injuries. They’ve also had Europe to deal with so have rotated pretty regularly, so just take stats with a pinch of salt.

goalscoring
No surprise to see those 3 names again here for PSG. Neymar’s current form is frightening, but that also explains why he’s just 1/4 to score or assist.

Monaco have scored in each game so far. PSG’s madness makes their stats look poorer than they are. Embolo will play alongside talisman Ben Yedder, Diatta and Golovin in wide areas. Diatta is the man tasked with breaking lines, Golovin is more of a creator.

PSG cards for
PSG’s biggest offender so far is Portuguese summer signing Vitinha. He serves a suspension here. Sanches is pretty combative and Ramos and Verratti need no introduction given their history.

Here’s Monaco’s fouls drawn stats. You can use this info along with the lineups to pinpoint some match ups that are worth looking at. Kimpembe for example, left of the 3 against Diatta and then Martins if he comes on.

Monaco cards for
I’d be heavily swaying to Monaco cards here. These sides do have history and cards do flow, however the games are usually closer than this is expected to be. There’s a real air of ‘how many will PSG score?’ to this game and that spells disaster for the hot heads of Monaco.

Very obvious foul drawing candidates on the Parisian side of things. I can also see some showboating from Neymar and co if PSG do blow Monaco out of the water.
