Tottenham vs Ac Milan Bet Builder Stats Pack

Tottenham vs AC Milan Bet Builder Stats Pack Featured Image

AC Milan travel to London with a slender 1-0 advantage thanks to Brahim Diaz’s early strike at the San Siro. There is everything to play for here and the margins between success and failure feel like they could be razor thin. Spurs were shockingly knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship club Sheffield United last week and their domestic form has been patchy. It’s the exact same for Milan and both teams would dearly love to progress to the quarter finals of the Champions League.

If you’re planning on backing a bet builder for the game, you’ll want to take a look at the stats below. From corners to cards, shots to fouls, and everywhere in between, you’ll get a good insight into what to pick based on their domestic campaigns. Not just that, I’ve provided a Stats Pack Guide if you’re not entirely sure how to get best use.

Predicted Lineups

Spurs are without Eric Dier who is suspended. That means that Clement Lenglet will likely keep his place in the side and there will be a lot of responsibility on Cristian Romero to conduct the defence. Long term injuries to both Bissouma and Bentacur in midfield are problematic, whilst #1 keeper Hugo Lloris also remains on the sidelines. Richarlison is vying for a place in the side, but in such a crunch game Antonio Conte should go with the Son-Kane-Kulusevski trio.

Olivier Giroud had been suffering with flu but took part in the most recent AC Milan training session. He is likely to be available upfront. Brahim Diaz also featured in that session but is more of a doubt due to a knee problem. Charles De Ketelaere could get the nod at right wing. Both Fikayo Tomori and first choice keeper Mike Maignan missed the first leg but should feature from the start here in North London.

Team stats

Tottenham average 1.77 goals per game and 1.38 against. Their xG and xGA numbers are also very high. Spurs have conceded 13.50 shots per game which is simply too many. They have a good SOT conversion rate of 5.08 from 13.73 shots themselves.

Spurs average nearly 6 corners per match, and they concede 4.54. Cards have been high in their fixtures which isn’t surprising considering the manager. Tottenham have obtained 2.12 cards in each fixture, whilst their opponents have 2.15.

Team Stats 37

AC Milan average 1.68 goals per game and 1.28 against. Their xG and xGA metrics correlate very closely to these numbers. Milan average 14.24 shots per match with 4.84 on target. They only concede 3.40 SOT in each fixture which is relatively impressive.

Corners have been low in Milan games. They only average 4.12 themselves with 4.88 against. This is something to watch out for because their wide players often cut inside and don’t look to stretch the field. Cards have been astronomically high in AC Milan games with 2.72 for and 3.32 against. Cards do tend to flow more readily in Serie A, but this still shows their games can regularly flare up.

Team Stats 39

Player shots and shots on target

Harry Kane unsurprisingly leads Spurs with attempts at 3.45 per 90 mins. He has a strong accuracy ratio close to the 45% mark at 1.43 SOT. The trio of Son, Richarlison and Sessegnon all average two shots or more per 90 mins. Son is another who has decent accuracy and fires 1.36 SOT. Kulusevski has poorer accuracy but fires in 1.76 shots per 90 mins.

2 41

Both Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao average around 3.50 shots per 90 mins. Neither are especially accurate though at around the 33% mark. Attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz fires in nearly two shots per 90 mins with 0.73 on target. Right wing back Messias has very similar numbers, whilst Rebic and Origi are interesting options to watch out for off the bench.

2 43

Player goals and assists

Harry Kane leads the way for the North London outfit with 18 goals. He has two assists to his credit. Son has five goals and three assists. The leading assist provider for Spurs on this list is Kulusevski with five. Midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg missed the first leg through suspension and has four goals and three assists.

3 40

The two leading scorers for AC Milan are Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud with 8 and 7 goals respectively. They also lead the team for assists with 6 and 4. Brahim Diaz has four goals and three assists. That trio of attackers are absolutely key for Milan. Sandro Tonali has three assists for the club in the Champions League this season and is worth watching as a deep-lying playmaker threat.

3 42

Player passing

Tottenham only average 50% possession and can be really difficult to predict with the ball. The expectation is that they should have a strong share of possession in this game, but you wouldn’t say that with total certainty. Three players all average over 60 passes per 90 mins for Spurs, with centre back Clement Lenglet and midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg the most likely to rack up the passing numbers here.

6 40

AC Milan average 53% possession and are another difficult team to predict in this category. Several players average over 50 passes per 90 mins with centre backs Simon Kjaer, Pierre Kalulu and Tomori perhaps the most likely to have a high mark in this game. The key is working out who will stay on the pitch for the longest period. Both Tonali and Krunic could see plenty of the ball in midfield. The reverse fixture was very close with possession nearly 50/50

6 41

Tottenham cards

Now that Bentancur and Bissouma are injured the obvious candidate for cards is Argentinian defender Cristian Romero. He has 8 cards and a high foul rate of 1.66 per 90 mins. Harry Kane is usually good for at least one foul per game and can be quite tactical or cynical. Midfielder Oliver Skipp must be a candidate for fouls here should he start. Left wing back Perisic or potentially Sessegnon look vulnerable against Messias.

4 44

Both Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz are major candidates to draw fouls and cards. Hernandez is a very attacking left wing back and will regularly venture forward, averaging 2.35 dribbles per 90 mins. Diaz is a skilful playmaker who sits in the hole and can be elusive. Right wing back Messias is another attack minded player in his role and dribbles an average of 3.25 times per 90 mins.

AC Milan cards

The Italian outfit average a high number of cards but with Clement Turpin in charge, they might get away with a few things. Striker Olivier Giroud is a very physical striker and has seven cards in addition to fouling an average of 1.60 times per 90 mins. Rafael Leao has 8 cards can get hot-headed. He only fouls 0.74 times per 90 mins but is a candidate to put in a silly challenge at some stage. The midfield duo of Tonali and now Krunic are also strong candidates to go in the book and produce fouls, along with left back Theo Hernandez.

4 45

Richarlison is the sort of player who will naturally draw fouls and potentially cards if he’s on the field. Right wing back Emerson Royal is fouled 1.62 times per 90 mins and could cause issues to Theo Hernandez. Harry Kane is always going to be a difficult matchup for any defenders. He is a wise canny player and knows how to play for fouls and free kicks. There will be a lot of attention on fellow Englishman Tomori having several clashes with him.
