Spurs take on Fulham in the final game of the Premier League weekend and will hope to remain top of the pile after their match with London rivals Fulham.
The North London outfit are one of two unbeaten sides in the Premier League after eight games though curiously, the only two games that have seen them drop points have been in the only two games against fellow London opposition, away at both Brentford and Arsenal.
That could provide an in for Marco Silva and Fulham, whose start has been somewhat inconsistent with three wins and defeats apiece from their opening eight. They drew 2-2 in their previous fixture in North London against Arsenal but concerns are being raised with their three victories coming against three of the current bottom five.

Availability key for Spurs
Ange Postecoglu will be forced into a change after losing key midfielder Yves Bissouma to suspension after his red card against Luton Town. That should provide an opportunity for either Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg or Oliver Skipp to start alongside youngster Pape Sarr. Otherwise, more of the same should be expected with Heung-Min Son continuing to lead the line.
Silva has a decision to make at centre-back
Marco Silva was dealt a blow in their 3-1 home win against Sheffield United when Issa Diop was forced to come off in the second half. Calvin Bassey stepped in alongside Tim Ream but it’s an awkward look with both centre-backs being left-footers. At least the rest of the starting XI is writing itself at present, especially with Kenny Tete and Tosin Adarabioyo still absent. Wales two-goal hero Harry Wilson will likely have to make do with a spot on the bench again.

The reason Spurs are top of the league table is because going forward, they are fantastic. They have scored two or more goals in seven of their eight league matches and managed 1.9xG with ten men for much of the game in the other. They have had at least 13 shots in every game and managed five or more shots on target in games where they have kept 11 men on the pitch – six in every game if you include title rivals Arsenal. They are conceding ten shots a game regularly (Fulham are 4/11 to have 9) while cards a big feature – they have picked up three yellow cards or more in seven of their eight league games.

Fulham’s season can pretty much be split into two categories. They’ve played four sides expected to finish in the top half this season, conceded two goals in each game and at least 1.7 xG. They’ve played four sides little is expected of and picked up ten points, conceding just once. They are improving. They’ve conceded four or fewer shots on targets and corners in their last five matches. They’ve picked up two or more yellows in six of eight games and drawn two or more in their last five.

Son the man of the moment
Since moving to the lone striking role in Postecoglu’s team, Heung-Min Son has managed three shots per game minimum, a shot on target per game and two or more shots on target on three occasions. He’s slowly being matched by James Maddison who has taken two or more shots in seven Premier League appearances while midfielder Pape Sarr wants in the action – he is 2/5 to have two or more shots at goal (he has managed this in five of the last six matches played with 11 men) and 4/5 to hit the target (managed in six of eight league appearances).
Plenty of value for Fulham
If you think Fulham have a chance of getting shots at goal on Monday, there is plenty of value. Firstly, Vinicius Junior has managed a shot on target in all four 30+ minute appearances this season (5/6 to have a shot on target). Alex Iwobi has managed two or more shots in four of six 30+ minute appearances (3/10 to take one shot). Joao Palhinha has had a shot in five of seven domestic starts (1/3 to take one shot). And Timothy Castagne has had a shot in four of his five Fulham starts (11/10 to take one shot).

Time for Richarlison to step up
There are two obvious candidates in this section. James Maddison has started his Spurs career in wonderful fashion, providing seven goal contributions and at least one in five of his eight matches. Son is reinvigorated too and finds himself at evens to score anytime having already notched six this campaign. The other candidate is Richarlison, who has already accrued 2.5 xG but has scored only once – he’s surely due to score at some point.
Fulham miss Mitrovic
There was a lot of concern around the departure of Aleksander Mitrovic and Vinicius Junior and Raul Jimenez aren’t having the desired impact in replacing him. Only two players have managed more than one goal contribution this season – Andreas Pereira who has a goal and assist apiece and Bobby Reid, who has scored twice from 2.5 xG. Perhaps the latter is your best chance at 9/2 to score anytime.

Udogie a dog in the tackle
Sometimes, young, exciting full-backs come with the downside of not being able to time their challenges and that’s the case with Destiny Udogie who has already picked up three yellow cards, committed a foul in six of eight games, two or more in five and three or more in four. Elsewhere, Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg could start here – he’s committed a foul in three of four games in which he has played at least 20 minutes, in three of four Denmark appearances and racked up over a foul per 90 last season.
Bobby Reid might be the man on the end of Udogie’s challenges tomorrow and it stands to reason that he will draw a foul – he has done so in all five starts for Fulham this season. On the other flank, Willian has been fouled in his last five starts, twice in three of those, and in midfield, Joao Palhinha has drawn a foul in all eight domestic appearances, drawing two or more in four of his last six.

Joao Palhinha is a destructive midfielder and having sulked early doors, he’s finding his feet again in the Fulham midfield. That has led to him picking up three yellow cards already this season, committing a foul in his last six starts and two or more in three. Elsewhere, Andreas Pereira is part of the Fulham midfield and has fouled an opponents in six of his last nine appearances while Tim Ream could be somebody to keep an eye on – he doesn’t foul often but he has three yellow cards to his name already.
Palhinha could find himself in an excellent battle with James Maddison, one of the most fouled players in the Premier League. He has been fouled twice or more in seven of eight league starts and three or more times in five of his last six. Udogie is as good going forward as he is bad defensively as far as referees are concerned, being fouled in six league games and twice or more in four. Christian Romero has been fouled in four of his last five outings.
