It’s the final night of March’s Euro 2024 qualifiers, and they’ve been interesting to say the least. Denmark falling to Kazakhstan, France squeaking past the Republic of Ireland, there’s been plenty to unpack.
There a 7 more games to go before we return to domestic action, and I’ve provided a stats overview for the 14 nations taking to the pitch this evening to help you with your bets.

Scotland vs Spain

- 👉 Games Scoring 2+ Goals: 50% vs 42%
- 👉 Games O/0.5 First Half Goals: 70% vs 69%
- 👉 Clean Sheets: 30% vs 42%
- 👉 Average Cards P/Game: 1.30 vs 0.77
7-0 dismantling of Costa Rica aside, Spain scored 3 goals in a competitive international for the first time since September 2021 against Norway on Saturday.
Georgia vs Norway
- 👉 Average Goals P/Game: 2.44 vs 3.00
- 👉 Both Teams to Score: 22% vs 50%
- 👉 Games Scoring 2+ Goals: 56% vs 50%
- 👉 Games O/0.5 First Half Goals: 56% vs 70%
- 👉 Clean Sheets: 67% vs 40%
- 👉 Average Cards P/Game: 1.89 vs 1.40
Whilst a 67% clean sheet rate is more than solid over 2022, Georgia’s clean sheets came against the likes of North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Gibraltar. Norway will prove a step up in quality.
Cards could well be on the agenda here, with referee Andris Treimanis averaging 5.57 cards P/Game domestically, and 6.00 internationally.
Turkey vs Croatia
- 👉 Average Goals P/Game: 3.80 vs 2.06
- 👉 Both Teams to Score: 60% vs 50%
- 👉 Games Scoring 2+ Goals: 80% vs 31%
- 👉 Games O/0.5 First Half Goals: 90% vs 50%
- 👉 Clean Sheets: 40% vs 38%
- 👉 Average Cards P/Game: 1.30 vs 1.25
Quality of opposition in 2022 plays its part here. Turkey were regularly scoring against the likes of the Faroe Islands, Latvia, and Lithuania, whilst Croatia fought hard for Nations League supremacy against France, Denmark, and Austria whilst also making a World Cup semi final.
Wales vs Latvia
- 👉 Average Goals P/Game: 2.50 vs 2.40
- 👉 Both Teams to Score: 67% vs 60%
- 👉 Games Scoring 2+ Goals: 17% vs 30%
- 👉 Games O/0.5 First Half Goals: 50% vs 60%
- 👉 Clean Sheets: 8% vs 40%
- 👉 Average Cards P/Game: 2.00 vs 2.20
Wales’ stats look underwhelming, but it’s worth noting that they were part of a Nations League group that consisted of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland. They battled to a 1-1 draw with Croatia last week.
The card stats look solid here, and referee Giorgi has averaged 5.20 cards domestically this season, and 6.00 internationally.
Kosovo vs Andorra

- 👉 Both Teams to Score: 60% vs 30%
- 👉 Games Scoring 2+ Goals: 50% vs 20%
- 👉 Games O/0.5 First Half Goals: 50% vs 50%
- 👉 Clean Sheets: 20% vs 40%
- 👉 Average Cards P/Game: 2.50 vs 2.20
Kosovo have failed to score in just 2 of their last 11 internationals, drawing blanks in both Nations League outings against Greece in 2022.
Romania vs Belarus
- 👉 Average Goals P/Game: 2.70 vs 1.70
- 👉 Both Teams to Score: 40% vs 30%
- 👉 Games Scoring 2+ Goals: 30% vs 10%
- 👉 Games O/0.5 First Half Goals: 80% vs 40%
- 👉 Clean Sheets: 20% vs 40%
- 👉 Average Cards P/Game: 1.50 vs 2.00
Only 2 of Belarus’ last 10 fixtures have finished with over 2.5 goals, including a 5-0 loss at the hands of Switzerland last week. 5 of Romania’s last 10 have hit the 2.5 mark, but they laboured to a 2-0 victory over Andorra on Saturday.
Switzerland vs Israel
- 👉 Average Goals P/Game: 2.77 vs 3.78
- 👉 Both Teams to Score: 58% vs 89%
- 👉 Games Scoring 2+ Goals: 23% vs 78%
- 👉 Games O/0.5 First Half Goals: 69% vs 78%
- 👉 Clean Sheets: 15% vs 0%
- 👉 Average Cards P/Game: 1.85 vs 1.56
Israel have failed to score just once in their last 14 internationals, notching multiple goals against the likes of Scotland, Austria, Albania, and Iceland.

You can of course use the numbers above in any way you like.
If you’re looking to place a goals based bet then it’s always worth looking at the average goals and both teams to score sections to see how often that selection lands for a given country. Your focus could be on the first half, in which case the most relevant stat would be matches with over 0.5 first half goals.
