Wednesday Team Goals Boost

The first of two championship sides to feature tonight, both playing against woeful opponents.

Leicester are probably the best Championship side of all time, and Sheff Wed might be one of the worst.

Leicester top the table with 42 points from 17 games. Sheff Wed sit rock bottom, having taken just 6 points so far.

The owner has sent the club in to a dreadful spiral, and Hillsborough isn’t a friendly atmosphere right now.

The owner has even been banning fans for speaking badly of him on social media, and started a gofundme from the fans to raise £2 million, saying that each of them should be able to stick £100 in.

Leicester should pile more misery in The Owls too.

They’re brilliant on the road, winning 7/8 and scoring 18 goals in the process.
They’ve scored 2+ in 6 of those 8 games.

Their attacking options are ridiculous for this level with Vardy, McAteer, Mavididi and Iheanacho.

And then, running it all from midfield you’ve got Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, the best player in the league.

Sunderland can move themselves to back within 1 point of the play-offs with a win tonight, and you’d fancy them to do so.

The Black Cats have won back to back home games, scoring 3 goals in each against Birmingham and Norwich.

5 of their 8 wins this season have come at the Stadium Of Light and they’re netting 2 goals per game on average at home.

Huddersfield are in dreadful form. They’ve won just 1 of their last 11 Championship matches, and have accumulated just 3 wins all season.

They’re just 3 points above the drop zone, with QPR closing the gap following their win last night.

On the road, The Terriers have won just 1 game, and have shipped 15 goals in 8 outings.

They average an xGA of 1.63 on the road, and have offered up little in resistance lately.

They’ve created 0.24, 0.95 & 0.57 expected goals in their last 3 away games.

Make no mistake, we’re in for a mouthwatering climax to Group C of the Champions League.

If Braga win tonight, and Napoli lose away to Real Madrid, then the pair will be separated by just a single point going into their clash on matchday 6.

It’s not just game state that should see Braga over the line here though, they’re simply the better side, and proved that in the German capital with a 3-2 win over Union Berlin on matchday 2.

Not to mention, they’re in fantastic form domestically, having won 5 and drawn 1 in their last 6. They’ve scored 20 goals in that time, and 30 across the whole season in Portugal.

That form is of course a stark contrast to their German opponents. Union Berlin have shipped a staggering 27 goals in 12 Bundesliga games, and are yet to keep a clean sheet domestically, or in Europe.

That leaky defence saw them lose 9 straight in the Bundesliga prior to last weekend, and I expect Braga to pile on the misery tonight.
