After a thrilling photo finish, yesterday’s nap was announced as a winner, let’s finish the week on a high and make it back to back wins.

We haven’t had much luck with the NAP’s this week as we’ve seen Golden Pal fall out of the stalls and then had 2 seconds but we’ll be trying to round the week off with a winner and that winner will hopefully be Home Affairs in the Platinum Jubilee at 16.20, another Aussie sprinter coming over to try and land a big prize! We saw how destructive Nature Strip was in the Kings Stand on Tuesday and this horse actually managed to beat him over 5 furlongs in February! He’s a 2/1 shot which looks incredibly short for a 27 runner race but there is probably only 2 or 3 others that look like genuine top class group 1 performers and the rest are probably only there for a day out and the chance of picking up some minor place money. If this lad can beat Nature Strip, the most emphatic winner of the week so far, then I expect he’ll have no trouble beating these. He is trained by the same trainer as Nature Strip who was withdrawn from this race at the 48 hour declaration stage so it looks like the trainer is more than happy to let Home Affairs strut his stuff in the Northern Hemisphere. He only brought two horses over from Australia and he’ll be delighted if both of them can win. The rider from New Zealand James McDonald has already won two races at this year’s Royal Meeting and us and him will both be hoping he can grab a 3rd in the big one on Saturday.Â
