Norfolk Stakes – 14:30

THE USA TO PICK UP A SECOND WINNER WITH AMERICAN RASCAL
Our Royal Ascot day 3 tips starts with a speedy five furlong sprint for two-year-olds. The short priced favourite Elite Status has to go in with a good chance after winning the National stakes at Sandown. One against the favourite is AMERICAN RASCAL who was a very impressive winner on his only start to date.
This horse’s mother Lady Aurelia won twice at Royal Ascot herself, the trainer Wesley Ward has a good record at the course too and has won this race twice before. Expect him to get out fast and hopefully he can stay in front to the line.
Norfolk Stakes

King George V Stakes – 15:05
VALIANT KING TO ROAR INTO THE WINNERS ENCLOSURE
This race is usually very competitive and this year looks no different. A horse that has been staying on well over a trip shorter than today’s and looks ready for the step up is VALIANT KING.
Only four career starts to date, this son of Roaring Lion won a maiden last time out after being narrowly denied in a handicap on seasonal reappearance. A mark of 92 looks workable and he is a nice each-way price (six places) for our Royal Ascot day 3 tips.
King George V Stakes

Ribblesdale Stakes – 15:40
EXCITING AL ASIFAH TO TAKE THE RISE IN CLASS IN HER STRIDE
This race revolves around one horse and that is AL ASIFAH. After the manner of her win earlier this month at Goodwood she has the potential to be a real superstar, and is a shoe-in for our Royal Ascot day 3 tips.
The time of that race was decent and that is even with her pretty much cantering home in the final two furlongs. She is in good hands being trained by the Gosdens and they have won this race in three out of the last four years. She can win this and win this well.
Ribblesdale Stakes

The Gold Cup – 16:20

EMILY DICKINSON TO STRIKE GOLD FOR BALLYDOYLE
This year the Royal Ascot Gold Cup doesn’t have Stradivarius in it and it looks an open contest for these stayers to try and cement themselves as the new star of the staying division.
Coltrane has stepped up and after winning the Sagaro stakes at Ascot last time and looks the one to beat, however it is EMILY DICKINSON at an each-way price (four places) that is our pick. A P O’Brien has won this race a record eight times and this horse looks like the further she goes the better she is. Her last race was a blip, but can be forgiven. Any rain would also be positive.
The Gold Cup

The Britannia Stakes – 17:00
RACINGBREAKS RYDER SEEKING FIVE TIMER IN COMPETITIVE HANDICAP
Punters face a very difficult task of finding the winner of this 30 runner one-mile handicap. Some will just put a pin on the page and see what they end up with however there is a slight angle to be looking at.
The straight races so far have not ideally suited low drawn numbers and with the higher drawn runners faring best it is RACINGBREAKS RYDER drawn in 22 that gets the vote. This horse has not stopped improving and is seeking his fifth win on the bounce here. A course winner last time out, this horse can keep the winning run going at an each-way (six places) price.
The Brittania Stakes

Hampton Court Palace Stakes – 17:35
CAN WE HAVE A DRUMROLL PLEASE
There looks to be a number of horses that have chances here. Positive mentions for Epictetus dropped back in class and Torito who deserves to take his chance at this level.
Our selection for the race is DRUMROLL each-way (four places). He was beaten last time but subsequently awarded the race after suffering interference. The only other horse to finish ahead of him apart from that is Paddington, who was an impressive winner of the St James’ Palace stakes on Tuesday. The Ballydoyle horses are all running well and this horse can go close.
Hampton Court Palace Stakes

Buckingham Palace Stakes – 18:10
BARADAR AND BOUGHEY TO WIN THE LAST OF THE DAY
The final race of our Royal Ascot Day 3 tips is a trappy contest, a competitive race with even the favourites set at eye-catching prices.
A horse that has shaped up well this year is BARADAR. He does look like being a better horse on softer ground having done all of his winning in those conditions. However he has run very well in two big handicaps this season already and last time in the Victoria Cup he was switched on more than one occasion and still finished sixth of 22. He will go off a big price and so is an each-way selection (seven places).
