Football icon Both Teams To Score
Arrow down

Both teams come into this game level pegging with four wins, one draw, and 13 points to their name.

And quite frankly, Arsenal and Tottenham are both firing on all cylinders at the moment. They will both be keen to give their opponents their first loss of the season.

The North London Derby is typically a high scoring fixture and the two previous league meetings at the Emirates have finished 3-1. So any concerns that this will be a dull display can be put to bed.

Both Arsenal and Spurs have scored in every single game so far this season, and given that Arsenal have yet to keep a clean sheet at home, I’m expecting both teams to find the net at some point.

We’re only five games into the new season, but in the last campaign Arsenal saw both teams score in 74% of their home games. Whereas both teams scored in 68% of Tottenham’s away games.

Football icon Over 2.5 Goals
Arrow down

Some Tottenham fans worried that losing Harry Kane would hamper their ability to score goals. Well, those concerns are well and truly behind them.

Spurs have picked up 13 goals in five games which averages to 2.60 per 90. Only high flying Brighton and title defenders Man City have managed more.

Arsenal’s record is also pretty impressive, they’ve managed 1.80 goals per 90 in their first five games of the new season. But during the last campaign they racked up 88 goals in total which averages to 2.32 goals per 90.

Tottenham’s defensive record last season was truly awful as well. They conceded 63 goals and to put that in perspective, almost relegated Everton with all their on and off field issues only conceded 57 goals.

68% of Arsenal’s games finished with over 2.5 goals last season, and that jumps to 89% when they’re playing at home. 61% of Tottenham games finished with at least three goals hitting the back of the net.

Football icon Arsenal 5+ Corners
Arrow down

Arsenal are averaging an incredible 67% possession in their five games of the season. That’s the third highest in the league and those sort of numbers are typically partnered with corners.

It’s not surprising then that Arsenal are managing more corners than any other team in the league by a huge margin.

They’ve picked 47 of them in their first five league games. That’s 11 more than Man City in second place and at this stage in the season is really impressive.

Sure, teams playing against Tottenham this season have only picked up 4.80 corners on average. But Spurs have had an extremely tame fixture list, and against the likes of Arsenal who are managing 9.40 corners per game, I’m expecting them to concede a lot more than the five we need here.

Football icon Tottenham To Receive The Most Cards
Arrow down

This is a classic case of one of the most disciplined teams in the league coming up against one of the least.

Arsenal have only picked up 8 yellow cards in five games, 1.60 of them per 90. Only Crystal Palace and Man City pick up fewer.

Tottenham, on the other hand, have gone a bit mad. They’ve racked up 17 yellows in their first five games of the season, including picking up six cards against Sheffield United last weekend.

Spurs have picked up three or more cards in five out of six of their games. Whereas Arsenal have only exceeded that tally in one of their five fixtures.

Things will get fiery here and there will be plenty of cards flying around, but I expect Tottenham to get the bulk of them
