Ipswich vs Accrington

Ipswich made up a third of Saturday’s winning treble. The drama in the Arsenal game took over, meanwhile the Tractor Boys were dismantling Burton.

Kieran McKenna’s side made it 3 straight wins and 4 matches on the bounce without conceding a goal. They’ve won their last 2 home matches by 4-0 score lines.

Ipswich haven’t tasted defeat on home soil since October and their excellent form at Portman Road has been crucial in lifting them to 3rd in the table.

A gap of 6 points remains to Plymouth in 2nd, however with Argyle hosting a strong Derby side tonight there could be a real chance that Ipswich claw back some more points.

They should do the job comfortably against an Accrington side who sit just 2 points above the relegation zone.

They’ve strung together a few solid results lately but this will be a very one sided affair.

No side has scored fewer away goals than Stanley, who’ve managed to find the net just 9 times in 16 away matches and they’re winless on their travels in the league across their last 6 trips.

They’ve failed to score in either of their last 2, which looks a tough obstacle to overcome against a side who are so dominant at home.

Teams travelling to Ipswich this season have averaged an xG of just 0.75 whilst the hosts average 2.25 xGF.

Burton had chances on Saturday, yet Ipswich still blew them out the water. Ultimately this is one of the strongest squads in the league and the opportunity is there for them to continue banging on the door of the automatic promotion places.

Dag & Red vs Wrexham

The National League is hurtling towards an incredible conclusion with the very real possibility that two sides break 100 points.

Wrexham head the charge, 1 point clear of Notts County with a game in hand. There’s been so many twists; County drew on Saturday at 3PM meaning Wrexham went in to their evening game with a huge opportunity to capitalise.

However, Shaun McCoulsky’s 90th minute strike saw the Welsh side draw 2-2.

However, tonight is a 2nd bite at the cherry. County aren’t in action again until the weekend. Wrexham can move 4 points clear with a win here and you’ve got to fancy them to do so.

This is by far the strongest squad in the league, with the majority of this team more than capable of starting in League One or Two.

Paul Mullin made it 29 for the season with a brace at the weekend and 9 in his last 7 matches.

Dags have picked up some good result recently and they’re a threat for sure but Wrexham’s superior quality should shine through in such an important match.

Wrexham have lost just 2 games all season. They came away to County and Chesterfield, probably the next 2 strongest sides in the division.

That last loss came back in October though with the superstar owned side going on an absolute tear since then.

Recently they’ve been so destructive in attack too, they’ve scored 2 or more goals in their last 7 straight away games.

Dags could make this tough and I wouldn’t be surprised if they score but Wrexham can and will outscore anyone who challenges them and I’d expect a big response after that draw on Saturday; Phil Parkinson will demand that.

Dorking vs Barnet

If you take a look at highest average match goals in the National league, these two will greet you at the top of the charts.

Dorking games average 3.68 goals, whilst Barnet matches average 3.59. They average 71% and 62% hit rates for over 2.5 goals, respectively and between them they’ve had just 1 goalless game.

These two sides offer that wonderful mix of a desire to attack whilst having a complete disregard for defending. Marc White said his Dorking side are simply ‘Sh*** at defending’ in an interview. If your gaffer is saying that, you’ve got to be concerned.

Both need the 3 points for drastically different reasons too. Dorking are now teetering just 2 points above the relegation zone whilst a fantastic run across January/February has lifted Barnet up to 4th.
