Bournemouth vs Liverpool

Liverpool come into this one in great spirits. Their last outing was the 7-0 thrashing of Man United, and a win over Bournemouth would see them climb into the top four, at least for a short while.

Liverpool have won four of their last five matches in the Premier League, and they’ve kept five clean sheets on the spin.

Bournemouth are struggling at this level, they’ve won just one of their last ten matches in the league. They host Liverpool having just lost to both Manchester City and Arsenal, conceding seven goals in the process.

The Cherries have kept just one clean sheet from their last eight attempts at home, now they’ve got to deal with the likes of Salah, Gakpo and Nunez who’ve all found their form at the right time.

Liverpool have won the last seven straight meetings between them and Bournemouth since 2017. The last one was emphatic… Liverpool beat Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield back in August.

Burnley vs Wigan

This looks like an obvious inclusion on paper. It’s top vs bottom and I think Burnley will be a part of most people’s bets on Saturday afternoon.

Burnley are top of the Championship. They’ve scored more goals than every other side in the league, and they’ve also conceded the fewest. They’ve lost just twice all season and promotion is all but confirmed.

Wigan are rock-bottom. They’ve got the joint-worst defence in the league, and they’ve also won the joint-fewest amount of matches with just seven wins to their name.

Vincent Kompany’s Burnley have been incredibly consistent. They’re currently on a run of 16 matches unbeaten in all competitions. Their last defeat coming against Man United in the League Cup back in December.

At Turf Moor, Burnley are on a run of 21 matches unbeaten. They were a Premier League side when they were last beaten at home. The Clarets have won 14 of their last 15 matches at home, so I want to wish Wigan the best of luck…

Wigan come into this one having won just one of their last 14 matches in the Championship, relegation to the third tier is looking likely for them. Away from home, Wigan have lost their last two and they’re 12 matches without a win.

When these Lancashire-based clubs last met, Burnley were 5-1 winners away from home, beginning their domination all the way back in August.

West Brom vs Huddersfield

Last but not least, I’m backing West Brom to win and Carlos Corberan to get one over the club he guided to last season’s Championship play-off final.

West Brom are currently 9th in the table, and still in the conversation for who’ll be finishing inside of the top six this season. Huddersfield are languishing in the relegation places, and the appointment of trusty Neil Warnock may have been too little too late.

The Baggies had a wobble from the end of January through to early February, but things look to be picking up again. They’ve won two of their last three Championship matches, including a 2-0 home win over Middlesbrough who remain one of the form teams in the league.

At the Hawthorns, West Brom have been formidable. They’re unbeaten in their last 10 matches on home turf, a run where they experienced nine wins. Incredibly, West Brom have also kept nine clean sheets from their last 10 at home.

As for Huddersfield, it’s doom and gloom. They’ve won just one of their last 12 matches in all competitions, and they’ve failed to find the net in five of their last six.

Away from home, Huddersfield have lost four of their last five, and they’ve won just two of their last 18.
