Caicedo x Partey Card Double

Moises Caicedo found himself as one of the most sort after players in the league in the summer. Chelsea went all out to make sure they got their man.

It was no secret that Chelsea needed a hard working, tough tackling powerhouse to help protect the defence and who better than the young Ecuadorian to come in and do a job.

Despite his consistency, he does posses the ability to be a bit hash into challenges. He picked up 10 yellow cards last season and was fouling at a rate of 1.55 P/90.

This year isn’t far off with 1.40 fouls P/90 and 1 card picked up so far.

Fun fact: In his last 3 games vs Arsenal, he’s picked up 2 yellow cards.
I think its going to be a pretty fiery game here, and I can see Caicedo being a victim of some fantastic ball playing/controlling Arsenal players.

He’s been away for some time, but if anyone’s going to get booked for Arsenal today, then it surely has to be Thomas Partey.

He picked up five cards last season, with only Jesus and Saka managing more.

Partey also averaged 1.34 fouls last season, the second highest in the regular Arsenal squad.

A groin injury in August means he’s been out of the squad for the last six Premier Leagues games and hasn’t really racked up any stats of any type this season.

But this man will start racking up those cards now he’s making the starting lineup again.

And I fancy his chances in what will be a lively London derby against Chelsea.

Especially considering that he’ll be up against Nicholas Jackson and Conor Gallagher who are fouled 1.29 and 1.47 times per 90 respectively.
