The NAP of the last day of Cheltenham comes in the form of Lossiemouth at 7/4 in the opener. My confidence in this horse has been vindicated after Paul Townend has thankfully chosen her as his mount over the second fav Blood Destiny who will be ridden by Patrick Mullins.
She jumps really well and travels very smoothly. She was very unlucky at Leopardstown last time out when beaten by the reopposing Gala Marceau, she may well have got the better of her if she wasn’t slowed down during the middle of the race by a horse in the same ownership!
That took valuable lengths out of her and let Gala Marceau get first run so providing those exertions haven’t taken their toll, Lossiemouth should be A1 to exact her revenge on her fellow Willie Mullins stablemate.
Rich Ricci has a favourite later on through the card and will be praying for a good start to the day, I think he’ll get it.
