The best bet of day 2 at Cheltenham is Gerri Colombe in the Brown Advisory at 7/4. Very few horses turn up to the Festival with an unbeaten record but this lad is a perfect 7 from 7 and I think he’s more than capable of making that 8 on the bounce when he takes his chance in this 3 mile contest.
He’s only ran over a trip this far once under rules before when winning over hurdles at Thurles but he’s looked like he’s been crying out for further in all of his starts so far and he really toughed it out well at Sandown to win a grade 1 on his most recent start.
He’ll relish conditions and the stamina test, I think he’ll be a very good winner on the day in a Brown Advisory that isn’t quite as competitive as previous years.
With question marks over Sir Gerhard running over this trip for the first time and his sketchy jumping, he is well worth opposing.
