Chelsea’s season is quickly becoming one to forget, but they still score a bunch of goals.

They’ve racked up 42 of them from 25 league games, an average of 1.67 per match.

They’ve also scored at least one goal in all but three home games this season.

It’s their defence that is really letting them down, 41 goals conceded in those 25 games, an average of 1.62 per match.

Leeds have some considerable firepower, they’re fourth in the league for goals scored, and although they’re in the league below, you cannot write them off scoring one or two tonight.

Games involving Chelsea average 10.20 corners per game, and their matches have been 8 or more corners in 80% of their fixtures.

Both Chelsea and Leeds average around 5 corners per game, and they tend to concede a similar amount as well.

After the League Cup, Chelsea know they need to get their season back on track. They’ll be putting everything into this one and the corners should follow.

Chelsea have picked up more yellow cards this season than any other team in the league.

They’re averaging an incredible 3.36 yellows per game.

And they racked up 2 or more cards in 88% of their fixtures.

Even better though, is that every single one of their league games has seen 4 or more cards handed out.

Leeds’ record is much better, but they still average 1.65 yellows a game.

Nottingham Forest’s defence is awful. They’ve conceded 48 times this season, which is the worst record outside the bottom three.
That averages to conceding 1.85 goals per game, which increases to 2.15 when playing away from home.

They’ve only kept two clean sheets away from home this season, whereas Man Utd have scored at least one goal in 10 of their 13 home games.

Sure, Man Utd aren’t the highest goal scorers but even they should get one past Forest.

And don’t write Nottm Forest off from scoring, these two met in late December, a game that finished 2-1 to Forest.

Games involving Man Utd average 13.15 corners per game. Yes, read that again, 13.15 corners.

That’s a mad record. And is accounted for because they both pick up plenty of corners (6.46 per game), as well as concede a tonne (6.69 per game).

Every single Man Utd Premier League game has seen 8 or more corners this season.

And they’ve single handedly passed this barrier on 38% of occasions.

Nottm Forest’s record is nowhere near as good, but they should get a couple to go along with United’s haul.

Both these sides have some of the worst disciplinary records in the league.

Man Utd average 2.50 corners per game, and have picked up 3 or more cards in 46% of their games.

Whereas, Nottm Forest average 2.38 cards per game and have managed 3 or more on 35% of occasions.

There’s no doubt about it, this one should have plenty of cards.

Liverpool have scored more goals than any other team in the Premier League. Their current tally stands at 63 from 26 games, an average of 2.42 per game.

That average increases to 2.85 when playing at Anfield.

Southampton are the third highest goal scorers in the Championship with 65 goals from 34 games, an average of 1.91 goals per game.

Liverpool have failed to score in just 1 game all season, whereas that record stands at 2 games for Southampton.

There’s some impressive stats here and the goals should come flying in.

Southampton rack up an incredible amount of corners. Their average stands at 7.69 per game, with games involving the Saints averaging 11.97 corners.

91% of their games have finished with 8 or more corners in the Championship.

Sure, no one is expecting them to manage nearly 8 corners away at Anfield, but Liverpool concede 4.31 corners per game on average so you can easily see Southampton picking up a couple.

Liverpool, on the other hand, average 6.85 corners per game. And their games have seen 8 or more corners in 88% of their fixtures. This record increases to 92% when playing at home.

Only Sheffield Wednesday have a worse disciplinary record than Southampton.

They’re averaging 2.56 cards per game, and have single handed racked up 3 or more cards in half of their league fixtures.

Liverpool’s disciplinary record is much better, but they’re still averaging over 2 cards per game.
