fulham vs liverpool fouls boost

With Trent still absent, Conor Bradley is once again set to lineup at right back tonight. And, as was the case at the weekend, I’m backing him for fouls.

He represents fantastic value up against Fulham, and I’m expecting his inexperience to show here.

Bradley was carded in his first ever league start for the reds, having committed 2 fouls in the process.

He even committed 1 in his league cup outing against Fulham 2 weeks ago, so he has some history against tonight’s opponents.

But again, it’s that inexperience that could well be his biggest downfall.

Bradley committed 2 or more fouls on 19 occasions at Bolton last season, and you’d expect more fouls against better quality opposition.

And, it’s hard to ignore the fact that his likely opponent is about as experienced as you can get.

Willian is still producing fantastic numbers for Fulham. He’s their second top scorer this season, and is drawing 1.46 fouls P/90 at the grand old age of 35.

That’s an incredibly tough test for 20 year old Bradley, who will also have the marauding runs of Antonee Robinson to contend with from left back. It’s a tough ask if he gets little support, and his price is too good to ignore.

Darwin Nunez is an absolute nutter. Regardless of what you think of him as a player, he works, and works, runs and runs, and it’s non-stop.

He makes some quite ridiculous challenges at times. Perhaps it’s just a burst of energy, an eagerness to win the ball, but still, it leads to fouls.

His price for Wednesday night is fantastic value. 1.4 for 1+, 2.88 for 2+, and the stats make for good reading.

He’s averaging 1.27 fouls P/90, and has committed 2+ in each of his last 5 starts. Beyond that, he’s failed to commit a foul in just 2 of his 15 starts in domestic competition.

Now, the Fulham backline tend not to draw too many fouls, however, Nunez has a tendency to drift out to the left, and that’s where he could face off against Kenny Tete.

If the Dutchman is to start, then he poses a huge threat when driving forwards. He draws 0.95 fouls P/90, so is more than capable of catching out the over-zealous Nunez.

Even then, I’d be backing the Uruguayan for fouls regardless, simply because of the way he plays.
