Wrexham vs York

Wrexham are the absolute boys when it comes to goals. If you’ve checked out my Saturday Acca Pack and Acca Pack Plus you’ll see they absolutely dominate any metric that involves goals.

Their games average 3.47 goals, they’ve scored 2+ in 76% of their games and have a 68% strike rate for over 2.5.

Those numbers go through the roof at The Racecourse ground too. Their games average 4 goals on home soil with a huge 78% landing for over 2.5 goals.

They’re incredibly destructive on their own turf. In 18 league matches this season they’ve won 17 and drawn 1, scoring a frankly ludicrous 57 goals.

As I’ve said about them over and over again, they’re a side with quality that wouldn’t be out of place in League One.

Paul Mullin has netted 31 league goals. Ollie Palmer has chipped in with 16 and now they’ve gone and added Ben Foster to their ranks. He may well have been out of the game for 9 months, but that is a ridiculous signing – but it’s all possible when you’ve got superstar owners with deep pockets.

Opponents York have seen 3 or more goals in each of their last 4 league matches and have eased some fears of the drop with 2 wins in their last 3 however things are far from said and done given that all the teams below them have games in hand.

They’ll relish the chance to upset the title charge here and can definitely contribute a goal against a Wrexham side who, despite their dominance, are far from secure at the back.

Notts County vs Scunthorpe

County have pushed Wrexham all the way this season and there’s a very good chance that they finish on over 100 points yet don’t win the league which is truly baffling.

It speaks volumes about the quality in both sides. Mullin may have 31 goals but he can’t lay a finger on Macauley Langstaff who’s smashed in 37 goals in 38 National league games, a quite sensational return.

It’s not just him. Cedwyn Scott has helped himself too and the brilliance of Portuguese creator Ruben Rodrigues has been integral.

They now trail Wrexham by 3 points, with the leaders also having a game in hand. There is zero room for any more dropped points so County need to be at their best.

They’re another side who dominate the Acca Packs. Their matches average 3.41 goals and 69% of them have seen over 2.5 with County netting 2 or more goals 72% of matches.

Scunny games aren’t short of action too with an average of 3.08 goals and 53% landing for over 2.5, 58% when playing away.

It’s been a torrid season for a side who’ve been living week to week, with so much uncertainty surrounding the clubs status due to financial troubles.

The fight isn’t over on the pitch though, 2 wins in 3 including a 4-1 drubbing of high flying Wealdstone have The Iron dreaming of a potential great escape; having looked dead and buried.

Israel vs Kosovo

From the bright lights of the County Ground to the night air of Tel-Aviv as Israel host Kosovo in the Euro qualifiers.

Israel are a bonkers side for goals. Their games are enthralling. Never mind 2 goals, their last 8 in a row have all seen over 2.5 with all 8 also seeing both teams score.

Incredibly, Israel’s last 21 matches have seen 2 or more match goals, the last time one produced less was a 1-0 win vs Scotland in November 2020.

Kosovo are solid entertainers too. 14 of their last 15 matches have seen at least 2 match goals scored.

This is a wide open group, with the other sides being Switzerland, Romania, Belarus and Andorra. These two will fancy their chances of competing for qualification on the assumption that the Swiss take top spot then 2nd looks like a bit of a free for all.

Kosovo’s French manager Alain Giresse has taken a much more positive approach with his side. Setting them up in a fluid 4-3-3, a system which has seen 15 goals scored/conceded across their last 4 games.

There’s quality here too. Leading striker Vedat Muriqui has 8 La Liga goals this season.

Israel have really exciting attackers too. Most notably right now is probably Manor Soloman who’s enjoyed a real rise in popularity after a string of wonderful performances for Fulham.

There’s also Tai Baribo, who plays for goal scoring legends Wolfsberger in Austria. He’s netted 5 in his last 5 and is having a real breakout season for his club.
