Liverpool host Championship side Leicester City in the Carabao Cup third round with both teams looking to continue their progress in the competition. Leicester have impressed this season and could make things tricky for Liverpool, although the Reds are still expected to come out on top.
It has been a superb start to the season for Liverpool, who are unbeaten across all competitions so far. Since playing out a 1-1 draw with Chelsea on the opening weekend of the Premier League, they have gone on to win every single fixture, both domestically and in Europe.
Leicester City have been comfortable in the Carabao Cup so far, although they have only faced lower league opposition. They claimed a 2-0 victory over League One side Burton Albion in the first round of the competition before picking up a similar win over League Two’s Tranmere Rovers.
