West Ham United vs Tottenham Hotspur
England are currently blessed with some really strong forwards and Bowen is one of them. He has 15 goals this season and has been key to West Ham’s climb up the table.
Bowen currently averages 1.11 shots on target p90 and with the Hammers far stronger at home, I expect Bowen to cause Spurs’ issues.
This Spurs side concede a lot of shots, given their aforementioned style of play, and Bowen has 10 shots on target in his last 10 games – so if there is going to be anyone to cause them some problems, it’s going to be Bowen.
Porro has really kicked on this season under Ange Postecoglu. The Spaniard has found consistent form and is enjoying his most productive spell in a Spurs shirt.
With the high-paced attacking style, this Spurs side are always likely to give away fouls and Porro is no stranger to that, whatsoever.
His season average is 0.96 p90, so just under a foul a game. However that seems to increase when facing tougher opposition.
Porro fouled twice in the return fixture and when facing the likes of United, City, Chelsea and Villa – he’s fouled multiple times.
Tonight, he’ll be tasked with stopping the impressive Mohammed Kudus and Luca Paqueta, who draw the most fouls in the West Ham squad. Kudus draws a huge 2.84 times p90, with Paqueta not far behind on 2.52.
Both players will tend to drift into both wide and central positions, interchanging and no doubt causing Spurs and Porro some serious issues. With both players combining for 20 fouls in the last 5 games, it would be no surprise to see Porro commit a few tonight.
Newcastle United vs Everton
Newcastle’s talisman is in top form. Isak has been fantastic for Howe’s side when fit – 6’4 and glides like a gazelle.
He averages 1.33 shots on target p90 and has 14 goals in his limited minutes so far this season. He’s an adept penalty taker too, as we seen on Saturday as he scored two against West Ham.
This selection has landed in 4 of the last 5 games for Isak and they host an Everton side who have leaked soft goals all season.
Everton have faced 25 shots on target in their last 5 games and if there is any player in the Newcastle team to carry on that trend, it’ll be Isak.
The Belgian midfielder has been a standout for Dyche’s side this season and is a perfect fit for the manager’s combative style of play. Onana fouls 1.66 times p90 this season and has made 14 in his last 10 games for the Toffees.
Tonight, he’ll be up against Bruno Guimaraes in what promises to be an intriguing battle. The Brazilian draws a huge 3.04 fouls p90 and has been fouled 34 times in his last 10 games.
There is no doubt this game will feature some meaty challenges and I expect Onana to be heavily involved in that.
