Sitting 6th in the Bundesliga table, Hoffenheim are enjoying a solid start to their season. One thing is for sure though, they can’t keep the ball out of their own net.

Whilst Mainz may not represent the biggest of tests, Hoffenheim’s defensive record should give any team encouragement. They’ve conceded 20 goals in their 11 league outings, with just a single clean sheet to their name.

Even better, they’ve drawn just once this season, with BTTS and no draw landing in all but 2 of their games this season.

I’d expect them to be on the winning side here, but Mainz are a capable side, and they’ve shown that of late.

Goals against the likes of Leipzig and Bayern in their last 4 is enough to suggest that they can get on the scoresheet against a leaky Hoffenheim.

Luzern – 71%
Winterthur – 93%

You will struggle to find a better team for goals after 14 league games than Winterthur this season.

An opening day 0-0 draw against, you guessed it, Luzern aside, BTTS has landed in every other Winterthur game this season. Their fixtures average a staggering 4.29 goals, with BTTS and no draw landing in 5 of their last 6.

Having come close to relegation last season, they haven’t picked up to the extent they would have liked.

They sit 9th, have conceded a league high 33 goals, and whilst capable of netting themselves, Winterthur will struggle to keep pace with Luzern.

Saturday’s hosts have kept just 4 clean sheets themselves this season, which bodes well for the away side (who have scored in all but 1), but the host’s form in their own backyard is great.

Luzern have scored 2 or more in 5 of their 7 home league games, only scoring less than that against the league’s top two.

Conceding 25 in 14 makes them a great shout for BTTS here, but when considering their relative strength at home, they should pick up a win here despite conceding.

Burnley – 58%
West Ham – 83%

Sure, Burnley might well be rock bottom of the Premier League, and the lowest scorers to boot, but this is one of the few games on the calendar in which I’d fancy them to get on the scoresheet.

A goal against Arsenal last time out is encouraging, and a match average of 3.25 goals per game suggests that Kompany’s side are serving us some entertaining encounters. Not to mention, BTTS and no draw has landed in 50% of their Premier League games.

They’re in desperate need of a result, and whilst Saturday may present a decent opportunity for them to have a go, I still think West Ham will have too much for them.

The potential saving grace for Burnley’s is that Moyes’ side have kept a singular clean sheet all season, that being at home to Sheffield United. That aside, they have the 4th worst defence in the league.

The Hammers are grinding out results though, and sit 9th, having drawn just twice.

The pair don’t possess the defensive quality to grind out draws, and whilst both can get on the scoresheet, West ham should still grind out that win.

Dortmund – 64%
Gladbach – 73%

It’s been goals galore in the Bundesliga this season, and that certainly doesn’t look set to change when Dortmund host a Gladbach side on the up this Saturday afternoon.

If recent form is anything to go by, then there’s goals aplenty here once again.

Dortmund games average 3.48 goals this season, with Gladbach games having an average of 4.18.

The hosts have failed to score just once this season, with BTTS landing in 7 of their last 10. As for the away side, they’ve netted in each and every one of their away games in the Bundesliga, with BTTS landing in 5 of their last 6, and in all of their away games as well.

They’re in contrasting form as it stands, with Dortmund having lost their last 2, and Gladbach unbeaten in 3. But, with the volume of goals scored by these two (21 and 23), I’d expect one team to pull away with a result.

Aston Villa – 67%

Goals, goals, goals, that’s what I’m expecting when Spurs host Villa on Sunday, and this really is shaping up to be an absolute cracker.

Between the two sides, there’s been just 3 draws across their combined 24 Premier League games. The pair never play for a point, with both Postecoglou and Emery instilling do or die attitudes in their sides.

Spurs games are averaging 3.25 goals this season, so when both teams score, one usually goes on to grab another goal at least, as evidenced by BTTS and no draw landing in their last 3.

As for Villa, no team in the league sees more goals a game on average, with the Conference League contenders sat at 3.83.

The big thing here is the way these teams play. Yes, Spurs are riddled with injuries and suspensions, but their defeat to Chelsea shows that they’ll never sit back, and they won’t settle for a point. Villa will fancy their chances, so expect both sides to go for the kill.
