Wolves vs Manchester United

Calendar 1st February

Football icon Bruno Fernandes to commit 1+ fouls
Arrow down

The Manchester United captain is no stranger to a challenge, making 1.35 fouls p/90 this season.

Fernandes has made 1+ foul in 8 of his last 10 games, committing 14 fouls in that time. Bruno has picked up more yellows than any other United players and I fully expect him to be among the thick of it at Molineux.

Bruno will be up against Mario Lemina and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde. Bellegarde has drawn a foul in each of his last 9 games, in fact, there has only been 3 games all season where he hasn’t been fouled. That works out at 2.67 p/90 average.

Lemina draws 1.58 fouls p/90 and will be up for the battle against Fernandes. I expect both players to be busy on the evening.

Football icon Max Kilman to commit 1+ fouls
Arrow down

Wolves’ captain was named Man of the Match in the Black Country Derby as he marshalled the back 3 to victory. Kilman committed 1 foul on Sunday and has been quite consistent in that sense over the recent games.

Kilman has made a foul in 9 of his last 10 games, 17 fouls in that time. The centre-half has been an important player for Gary O’Neill’s side and will have be integral to Wolves’ chances of beating United.

Kilman has committed 1.14 fouls p/90 and will likely face up against against Alejandro Garnacho, who is the most fouled player in the United squad by some distance. Garnacho has been fouled 29 times this season an average of 2.27 times per 90.

Kilman committed 2 fouls the last time the sides met and I can see him committing at least 1 this time round.

Football icon Mario Lemina to commit 1+ fouls
Arrow down

Mario Lemina is Wolves’ most booked player and hasn’t changed his approach, even after his recent suspension.

The midfielder has fouled 7 times in his last 5 games and commits a season average of 1.45 p/90. 1+ fouls has landed in 6 of the last 10 games for the Gabonese.

Lemina’s likely opponent will be Robbie Mainoo, who has cemented a place in the United starting XI. Mainoo draws 0.68 fouls p/90 so far this season and I expect a high paced game at Molineux to bring these two together.
